#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post Number 1087: Paris, Mon Amour! 🩰💕🇫🇷

Bonjour, mes chéries! 👋 Emma here, your pink-tutu-clad guide to all things sparkly and fabulous. I’m so excited to be writing this week’s blog post from the City of Lights, Paris! This city always gets my heart fluttering like a ballerina en pointe, and this weekend has been a whirlwind of enchantment and wonder.

As you know, I’m a huge fan of travelling by train, so of course I took the Eurostar across the channel. I felt like I was stepping right into a Parisian film - with the sleek, modern carriages and the charming little French cafes at the station. Honestly, I just want to live on the Eurostar – all that gorgeous travel and I don't even need to pack! 😜

This trip was made possible thanks to the fabulous ballet performances I've been doing, which I always enjoy! I'm so lucky that my passion for ballet helps fund these incredible travel adventures.

Paris on a Saturday is an absolute delight. It's bursting with life, with bustling streets, delicious smells wafting from bakeries, and a general joie de vivre in the air. I was lucky enough to arrive on the same weekend as the French Open Tennis Tournament and I just had to catch the action! Even from the sidelines I could feel the electrifying energy and excitement as those skilled athletes hit those winning shots. 🎾 It's hard not to get swept up in the cheering and excitement, it’s an event full of French flair. I was especially inspired by the vibrant outfits worn by the spectators. My dear readers, can you imagine the fashion opportunities for a pink-tutu loving girl in the world of tennis?

My first day in Paris involved some serious exploration. I found myself lost in the whimsical wonderland of Shakespeare & Company bookstore, its ancient wood floors and book-laden shelves a haven for the literary soul. Imagine being surrounded by all these amazing stories! A girl like me who’s fascinated by costumes and theater is truly in her element! This quaint bookstore is on the famous Left Bank of the Seine. There is also an iconic brasserie right across the road, complete with cafe chairs and the most charming waitresses. Paris has those little touches of glamour. I’d love to have my very own Paris apartment and write about all my fashion adventures.

Speaking of fashion, how could I resist a detour to Galeries Lafayette, that grand old dame of department stores? I spent hours admiring the opulent window displays, the dizzying array of designer goods and the Parisian flair of the store. Of course, a girl can’t leave a grand Parisian department store without some souvenirs. 🎁 I can’t wait to wear the beautiful scarf I bought – it'll make the perfect accent to my signature pink tutu.

You all know how much I love ballet, so I made sure to get my fill of Parisian dance. I was absolutely thrilled to see a performance of "The Nutcracker" at the stunning Palais Garnier, the Opéra de Paris. The sheer grandeur of the theater was enough to make my jaw drop! (Imagine, I got to go see "Phantom of the Opera" on my first trip!) 🎭 I found myself getting lost in the magic of the dance and transported to a world of pure wonder and beauty.

Of course, no Parisian adventure is complete without a little romance and a classic walk along the Seine River. With its charming bridges, charming lights and boats flitting across the water, it's easy to see why it's such a romantic place. Walking along the Seine you’re surrounded by art and history and surrounded by Parisian charm. You feel like a Parisian even if you’re a tourist like myself. 💕 It’s beautiful, dreamy, romantic and, oh, so Parisian!

Sunday morning was filled with croissants, coffee, and a stroll through the iconic Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen, Paris’ largest antique market. I was absolutely overwhelmed by the abundance of treasures - antique jewelry, vintage clothing, quirky furniture and so much more. I'm not ashamed to admit, I did quite a bit of window shopping (and even indulged in a couple of special finds for my flat). 💎 This amazing market really captures the essence of Parisian style - timeless, chic, and full of unexpected surprises.

The afternoon took us to the Jardin du Luxembourg – what an incredibly romantic and magical setting. I mean who can resist gorgeous, green gardens full of fountains, statues and elegant trees. 🌳 The fresh air, the sights, the sound of people playing chess in the sun, all set to the background symphony of laughter and chat - I loved it!

I just couldn't resist snapping photos to capture the beauty and I spent the evening editing my snaps into a little slideshow to share on my social media, to help inspire all of you at home! I feel a Parisian inspired collection coming soon! 😉

Paris is a city that gets under your skin and leaves an imprint on your soul. I can already tell that this visit will leave its mark on me. 💫 The city's rich history, stunning architecture, vibrant art scene and oh so chic fashion inspire me in ways I can't even put into words. But I can say this with absolute certainty - it’s given me a thousand new ideas for outfits, for blog posts, for ballet pieces! It really has inspired me to embrace the magic in everyday life and just to follow my dreams. And who knows? Maybe you’ll find me on a stage in the heart of Paris very soon… You’ll have to wait and see!

As for my pink tutu, well, it's been with me everywhere. It adds just a touch of whimsicality to the Parisian streets. 😜 You just can’t escape my motto: Pink tutus for all! Even in the City of Lights! After all, Paris is always looking for a touch of magic – that’s what my pink tutu delivers! ✨

I can't wait to see where my next adventures in dance will take me. Until next time, remember: dream big, dance like nobody's watching, and embrace the world in all its pink-tutu-tastic glory!

À bientôt, my lovelies!

Emma xx
