Bonjour, darlings! It’s Emma here, writing to you from the most romantic city in the world: Paris! It feels like a dream, honestly, and just a touch surreal to be strolling the cobblestone streets in my favourite pink tutu. Sigh… this truly is the life!
A Whirlwind Train Journey
As you know, I'm all about that glamorous, high-speed rail life. The Eurostar whisked me here in style - such an effortless way to travel. It felt like stepping into a Parisian movie, complete with chic passengers sipping coffee and me in my pink tutu. I did manage to catch some envious stares. Who doesn't love a bit of pink, right?
The Heart of Paris
Arriving at Gare du Nord felt like a grand entrance. My first stop was a little tea room tucked away on a quiet side street, with dainty lace doilies and delicate china. Afternoon tea with scones, clotted cream and jam - what could be more delightful?!
A Dancer's Delight
But you know me, I can't resist a ballet show! Tonight I'm seeing a spectacular performance at the Opera Garnier. Talk about glitz and glamour! You just know the costumes will be exquisite. I'm even thinking of finding a similar style of dress for myself – a bit of a vintage feel, maybe in blush pink! Oh, and have I told you about my Parisian ballet classes? I’m trying a new technique this week, one with an emphasis on graceful and flowing movements, oh-so-elegant!
The Eiffel Tower is Calling!
I wouldn't be true to my blog if I didn't mention fashion. Oh, the Parisian boutiques! So many chic little stores with beautiful displays and clothes I've only ever dreamt of owning. You’d think I was walking through a magazine, all of those sleek and luxurious items. Let’s be honest, a little window shopping is the ultimate Parisian experience! It's also the perfect excuse to enjoy the amazing French patisseries. How else can one fuel all this browsing?!
A Tutu-Filled Parisian Weekend
Saturday is a perfect day for a romantic stroll. I can't wait to see the Eiffel Tower lit up against the night sky. The view is incredible from the Seine riverbank, so much so it even inspires a ballet dancer's heart. Tonight I plan on heading to a live performance at the famous Le Chat Noir - I heard they’re putting on a Parisian-style vaudeville cabaret show - should be amazing!
