#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 1091: Bonjour from the City of Lights! 🗼🩰

Oh my darling readers! I'm absolutely positively giddy to be back in Paris! After the thrilling chaos of Derby's Christmas lights switch-on last week, a trip to the Continent was just what the doctor ordered. It's so much easier to wear my pink tutu with an air of effortless sophistication here than back home, even if the temperature does feel a bit on the chilly side. Thankfully, my collection of pink knitwear means my toes aren't suffering. 😉

This trip was a whirlwind! Last Sunday, I dashed to the EuroStar station in the most fetching pink coat - the train was even adorned with twinkling Christmas lights! It really was a magical way to travel, even though the queue for passport control was quite lengthy. But I wasn't the slightest bit stressed; I was too busy catching up on my Parisian Vogue, enjoying a cheeky croissant and picturing myself in the gorgeous Parisian boudoirs. I mean, I just know I'd be a hit here with my ballet dancing and my dazzling array of pink outfits.

I spent the first couple of days in the chic 7th arrondissement. Honestly, it was like a scene from a Parisian fairytale - charming streets, elegant boutiques, and enough stunning architecture to make your jaw drop! Of course, I was off on a mission for more pink tutus - because there's never enough pink in the world, right? Let me tell you, I came away with quite the collection of glorious tulle skirts and absolutely the most delicate pink velvet top at a little independent shop called L'Atelier Rose. The shop was filled with gorgeous vintage treasures, and I had to try everything on - how else do you discover a gem like that velvet top?! And then, of course, I found some incredible ballerina shoes to complement my new tutu! My dance bag is already overflowing!

The Parisian art scene never disappoints. It wouldn't be a trip to Paris without a ballet show! This time it was at the Grand Opera, and oh my, I was swept away! The staging, the costumes - everything was perfection! And don't even get me started on the ballerinas, they were absolutely flawless, so elegant, their every move so graceful, it had me teary-eyed! It felt truly special watching a performance with the most fabulous backdrop in the whole world, even if the surrounding audience seemed to be whispering their complaints about my tutu. They don't know what they're missing! I wouldn't have it any other way - I always make an entrance and what better place than Paris to do so?!

My Parisian explorations have continued right up until this blog post. My Saturday itinerary was absolutely jam-packed! After an early morning ballet class at Ballet Atelier Paris (oh my gosh, I felt like such a Parisian ballerina myself!) I indulged in a delicious brunch of French toast at Le Café des Artistes with a pot of steaming, perfectly-brewed tea. Afterwards, I popped into the Musée du Parfum Fragonard - imagine, a museum entirely dedicated to fragrance! A delightful little place with so much history - it was quite magical actually. The little shop at the back was tempting too, and I just had to treat myself to some new scent. I'm feeling very chanel with my newest purchase - I think it even matches my tutu!

Right now, as I'm writing this, the Eiffel Tower is twinkling in the distance and the smell of freshly-baked pastries wafts in through the open window of my very chic hotel. This is Parisian perfection!

Speaking of perfection, what better way to celebrate this Parisian adventure than with some incredible outfit pics! (I’ll post these to my Instagram and Pinterest, of course, so keep your eyes peeled). I mean, it’s only fitting that my tutu gets featured! It’s not just an outfit; it’s a way of life, darling! And, hopefully, you’re all following along on my journey to make pink tutus the most fashionable outfit in the world! Who knew this little tutu could take me all around the world?

Tomorrow, I’m off to Montmartre. My friend, who just started ballet a few months back (so proud!) told me it’s a great spot for street performances. I can’t wait to see what kind of talent we can find! Paris is the most incredible melting pot of creativity. Who knows, perhaps my dance career will go in a new direction? My tutu is certainly up for anything, wouldn't you say?

Until next week, my darling readers! Keep shining bright! 💖
