Pink Tutu Paris - #1106: A Whirlwind of Parisian Delights!
Bonjour mes amies! 🩰 It's your girl Emma, and it's Saturday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Paris blog post! This week, I'm beaming with joy after an absolutely fabulous trip to the City of Lights! Paris, my darlings, never fails to enchant. I’m writing this as I sip on a perfectly creamy hot chocolate, surrounded by the delightful aroma of fresh croissants.
This week's adventure started right here in Derbyshire, with a quick trip down to the station. The excitement started with the moment I hopped aboard the EuroStar! My little pink tutu bag, bursting with everything I needed for a weekend of Parisian chic, was perched perfectly beside me. I can’t tell you how much I adore train journeys – it’s the perfect way to get my creative juices flowing, with all the gorgeous scenery rushing past. I scribbled in my journal, dreaming up future tutu outfits and planning every delicious detail of this weekend’s Parisian delights!
As I disembarked the train and inhaled the scent of Paris – a heady mix of flowers, pastries, and that certain je ne sais quoi that only Paris possesses – I was immediately in love all over again. It was like a magical Parisian movie scene come to life!
The Eiffel Tower beckoned from afar, its majestic iron structure shimmering in the sunshine. The air was alive with the joyful chatter of Parisian locals and the happy murmur of tourists. You know how I love Paris, but this week, I've fallen a little deeper under its spell, thanks to the incredibly gorgeous, sunny, spring weather.
And speaking of Parisian charm, I couldn’t wait to indulge in a spot of Parisian shopping. As usual, the Marais neighbourhood proved to be a treasure trove. I’m utterly smitten with this charming, quirky district with its cobbled streets, independent boutiques and delicious little patisseries. I found the most delightful vintage lace blouse (oh, my, how utterly French it felt!) and I am completely swooning over my newest purchase - a divine pair of pink ballet shoes! These are not your average pink shoes – they have a dainty silver bow, and the perfect delicate shimmer to go with my pink tutu. They’re going to make such a statement!
The afternoon was pure Parisian bliss – I wandered the cobbled streets, discovering enchanting hidden courtyards, and admiring the city’s beautiful architecture. There was something absolutely delightful about being in a new city, but feeling a sense of familiarity. This city feels so comfortable to me now. Paris, I'm falling head over heels for you again!
I wouldn't be in Paris without taking in some beautiful ballet. Paris is, of course, home to some of the world's most prestigious ballet companies. This week, I treated myself to a performance by the Paris Opera Ballet. The entire evening was a dazzling symphony of grace, artistry, and sheer talent. The costumes were divine – feathers, silks, and oh, so much tulle! Let’s just say, I took a whole page of my notebook full of costume ideas – there's a whole new tutu inspiration in the pipeline!
You know how I am obsessed with dancing - so, naturally, my Paris adventure also involved a ballet class at a beautiful studio just off the Champs Elysees. You know how I adore dancing in Paris. It’s like the whole city has its own unique, rhythmic heartbeat, which sets the tone for every move I make. This class was so uplifting, my feet felt light, and I moved with a joy that’s truly a Parisian privilege.
Sunday dawned with an appetite for even more Parisian delights! I indulged in the most exquisite, freshly baked croissants. You know I've never met a croissant I didn't like - I could eat them all day and never get tired of them!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: every Parisian cafe feels like it's been created specifically for pink tutus! So, naturally, I wore my pink tutu for a morning stroll. My little ballerina twirls brought smiles to every face we passed - what more could I want than to share my passion and sprinkle some joy? It's always such a joy to make someone smile in a tutu.
Now, if you'll excuse me, it’s almost tea time – and there are even more Parisian pastries to be sampled. I’ve got a whole list of places I want to check out this week. I think my pink tutu needs another walk through this beautiful city - who knows what treasures I will find?
I'll be back next Saturday, mes amies, with more adventures and fashion updates from my Parisian escapade. Stay tuned! Bisous!
Until next time!
