Bonjour, my darlings! It's Saturday, 17th April 2021, and I'm practically twirling with excitement because guess where I am?
That's right, Paris! The City of Lights, the epitome of romance, the haven for all things chic. I just had to share this whirlwind adventure with you. It's so hard to even choose where to start. But where better than the journey itself?
I travelled to Paris by EuroStar, the sleek silver bullet that whisked me away from the rolling hills of Derbyshire and straight into the heart of Europe. The journey was as glamorous as it was comfortable, like travelling in a private jet without the exorbitant price tag. As always, I couldn't resist rocking a tutu - this time, a cherry blossom pink with delicate pearl embellishments - to brighten up the journey. After all, every journey should feel like a performance, right?
Paris greeted me with a fresh breeze and a promise of excitement. As soon as I stepped out of the Gare du Nord, the familiar cacophony of Parisian life - chattering street vendors, the honking of taxis, the gentle hum of a thousand conversations - enveloped me. I practically floated towards the Eiffel Tower, a beacon of Parisian splendour piercing the sky. The Tower was just as magnificent as I'd always imagined, its intricate metalwork glittering in the sunshine. I was determined to conquer it, even in my voluminous tulle, and by conquer, I mean capture the perfect picture with my Parisian Parisian pink tutu, of course!
The Pink Tutu Paris Agenda - A Feast for the Senses
I've packed a jam-packed Parisian schedule, chock full of activities that every ballerina-at-heart would dream of! This weekend, my #PinkTutuBlogParis itinerary is overflowing with ballet performances, shopping, street art exploration and all things fabulous!
Today's Must-Sees:
*The Grand Palais: * This architectural marvel is a feast for the eyes, a majestic space echoing with elegance and history. Today, I'm headed there to experience the "Ballet Paris" exhibition. Think gorgeous costumes, original choreography, and an immersive look into the fascinating world of ballet in Paris! And yes, of course, I'll be channeling my inner Parisian fashionista in my latest pink tutu, a frothy cloud of soft tulle with delicate ribbon details. I wouldn't dream of showing up anywhere in Paris without a sprinkle of pink tutu magic!
*The Seine: * This iconic Parisian river is more than just a pretty face - it's the heart of the city, a mirror reflecting its energy and soul. Today, I'm hopping aboard a charming bateau-mouche, sipping champagne, and basking in the stunning river views. I've already got a perfect outfit picked out: a sleek black midi skirt with a dramatic pink tulle overlay - it’s tres Parisian, tres elegant and a little bit tres glamorous.
*Le Marais: * This enchanting neighbourhood is a time capsule of Parisian charm - cobblestone streets, quaint boutiques, hidden cafes. It's where Parisian bohemian style truly shines - I can practically hear the strum of an accordion and the clinking of champagne glasses. Of course, I’m bringing my tutu - this time, it's a classic black tutu, edged with delicate pink sequins. A nod to tradition but still with a touch of pink tutu fabulousness, natch.
*A Foodie's Dream: * No trip to Paris is complete without experiencing the divine food! Today, I'm indulging in a classic French bistro lunch, savoring each morsel like a delicate dance move. The aroma of freshly baked croissants, the tantalising taste of escargot, the rich, creamy texture of crème brûlée - Parisian cuisine is truly a sensory ballet in itself.
A Little Ballet Inspiration: Paris is famous for its beautiful ballet scene and it’s something I’ve always dreamt of seeing! The Paris Opera Ballet, known for their elegance and virtuosity, is at the top of my list, and today I have tickets for a spectacular performance of Swan Lake! A ballet that embodies both beauty and drama!
Paris Through a Pink Tutu Lens Every step in this magnificent city is a magical moment - the echo of history, the whisper of romance, the symphony of art, the rhythm of fashion! The streets themselves become a stage for endless possibilities. And it's all beautifully enhanced through the lens of my #PinkTutuBlogParis experience.
I believe everyone deserves a touch of tutu magic! And so I will be taking the world by storm, one pink tutu at a time. I want to see pink tutus worn by every girl, every woman, everywhere in the world.
