Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post #1137 - Bonjour from the City of Lights!
Bonjour mes amis! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-wearing, ballet-loving blogger, and I'm back with another fabulously fabulous Parisian post! This time, I've swapped the rolling hills of Derbyshire for the cobbled streets of Paris, and let me tell you, it's been absolutely magnifique.
As always, the journey started with the Eurostar, and I think I have it down to an art now – comfy clothes, a good book, and maybe even a little snooze in the lovely comfy seats. This trip, though, I felt a tingle of excitement, because Paris is the capital of ballet, darlings! My tutu is practically vibrating!
Friday Feels: A French Fling with Fashion
When I finally stepped out onto Gare du Nord and took in that delicious mix of fresh air, French pastries, and the hum of the city, I practically did a little pirouette! After settling into my darling little hotel room (complete with a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower!), I had a little fashion feast.
Parisian fashion is so effortlessly chic, darling. Imagine: beret, silk scarf, and of course, a statement piece, like a stunning red dress, worn with killer heels and a touch of rebellious edge! But for me, the best thing was discovering this charming little shop filled with the most incredible pink tutus. Like, I’m talking seriously incredible! From a delicate powder pink tulle to the most stunning sunset shades of pink, there were tutus of every shape, size, and dream! You can bet I treated myself to a little something special. It’s going to be my show-stopper outfit for the ballet tomorrow!
Saturday Secrets: An Enchanted Evening
And speaking of ballet… Oh, my dear readers, this is why I'm here. I've been to so many ballets in my time, but there's just something magical about seeing them in Paris! I spent this afternoon in the Palais Garnier, the iconic opera house, where my inner ballerina was simply swooning! I mean, have you ever seen such incredible architecture? All that gold and velvet, and even a gorgeous, enormous chandelier – the most exquisite detail. It was an experience that simply can't be captured in words, you have to be there to feel the energy!
The show, ‘Swan Lake’ (in a breathtaking production of, of course, the Paris Opera Ballet) – oh, darling, it was perfection! A whirlwind of emotion, graceful pirouettes, and captivating storytelling. The dancing was phenomenal! It was truly a treat to experience this legendary ballet in this city. It's as if the theatre itself whispered the story of the Swan Queen and the prince!
Afterward, my inner ballet critic needed a treat. So, I went shopping! Paris is truly the shopping haven! From independent boutiques with unique finds to high-end stores with all the latest trends – I was completely lost in the sparkle of it all! Let's just say my Parisian shopping spree is looking very pink… and oh-so-tutu-ful.
And so, dear friends, my adventures in Paris are just beginning!
Stay tuned for more exciting stories from this city of romance and culture, all while I spread the pink tutu love.
See you next Saturday!
Xx
Emma
P.S. Did I mention the croissants? You’ve just GOT to have a croissant in Paris. Seriously. It’s like magic in pastry form.
