Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post 1149 - Exploring the City of Lights!

Bonjour mes amies!

I'm so excited to be writing to you all from the heart of Paris! This is my 1149th post and I am delighted to be bringing you some Parisian magic from the City of Lights. It is truly enchanting!

Today is January 1st, 2022. I spent a glorious day travelling from Derbyshire by EuroStar and then exploring all that Paris has to offer. Honestly, there's so much to see and do here! My little heart is bursting with joy and I can't wait to tell you all about my adventures!

First Stop – Shopping for My Paris Wardrobe!

I wouldn't be a proper ballet-loving, fashion-obsessed girl if I didn't start with some shopping, right? The streets of Paris are a shopper's dream - so many beautiful boutiques and chic designer shops, all begging to be explored. Of course, I couldn't resist the temptation to find some truly delightful pink accessories and gorgeous tutu-inspired items for my new Paris wardrobe.

I snagged a breathtaking pair of blush-pink ballerina flats at a gorgeous little shop just off the Champs-Élysées, a delicate pearl-studded headband, and even a faux fur coat – you know, for the Parisian winter nights. I might even try to squeeze in a visit to Galeries Lafayette – rumour has it that their winter sales are simply divine!

Parisian Lunch at a Tiny Bistro

No trip to Paris would be complete without indulging in some delicious French cuisine! After my shopping spree, I found a delightful little bistro with floral-covered tables and the most amazing smell of fresh bread wafting from the kitchen. I tucked into a traditional Parisian lunch, featuring the most exquisite croque monsieur and a divine glass of Pinot Noir – just the right touch of French flair to fuel my afternoon explorations.

Ooh La La – My First Parisian Ballet Show!

Tonight, I'm experiencing my first Parisian ballet performance - it’s an all-female cast of the famed Paris Opera Ballet. The music is so powerful and emotive. It’s one of those unforgettable moments – the beauty, the grace, and the elegance are beyond words. I’m already picturing a tiny, perfect Parisian stage with ballerinas all wearing pink tutus, swaying gracefully, like little pink-hued clouds of feathers.

French Inspiration for My Tutu Collection

And let me tell you – I've been getting so many inspiring ideas for my new collection of tutus! Parisian flair, it seems, comes in pink - with perhaps a touch of emerald green and hints of metallic gold. The city is oozing with the most beautiful colours, all waiting to be captured in fabric and form, just waiting to bring joy to every single ballerina around the world!

Next Up: The Seine and A Delicious Dinner

This evening, after the show, I'm planning a lovely stroll along the Seine. Imagine strolling beside the river at night with a light breeze, the lights of the city sparkling around you – pure Parisian romance! And to cap it all off, I've booked a table at the most exquisite French restaurant, known for its melt-in-your-mouth duck confit. Let’s just say my taste buds are already singing!

Join Me for Parisian Adventures Next Week

It’s been a whirlwind day, but it's just the beginning! I've only tasted a tiny drop of the Paris experience, and there's so much more to discover - museums, iconic monuments, maybe even a little street art. Stay tuned for next Saturday's post, when I’ll take you on another adventure!

Until then, remember - life is a stage, so let your inner ballerina shine!

Sending you all my love from the City of Lights!

Emma xoxo
