Pink Tutu Paris: Bonjour, Mon Chérie! - Post 1155
Hello my darling tututistas! It's Saturday again, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Paris adventure! This week, I'm straight outta Derbyshire, fresh off the EuroStar and into the chic streets of Paris - oh la la!
My trusty pink tutu, of course, came with me, twirling its way through the EuroStar carriage (much to the amusement of a lovely gentleman who couldn't stop beaming - I swear, I'm on a mission to make the world a more sparkly place, one tutu at a time!)
Paris has a certain je ne sais quoi that always sets my heart a-flutter. Maybe it's the buttery croissants, the stunning architecture, the cobbled streets, or maybe it's the infectious Parisian zest for life - but it all just works.
Ballet: A Feast For The Eyes
Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Palais Garnier. Today, I saw the most breathtaking performance of Giselle, featuring the iconic étoile Dorothée Gilbert. The way she moved was pure poetry - every leap, every pirouette, every step just flowed like a delicate dance. The costumes were magnificent - with lush fabrics and delicate embellishments - and the orchestra's performance was equally phenomenal. I must confess, there were a few happy tears (they’re a bit of a tradition, my dears). I was swept away to a magical world of passion, grace, and, of course, some excellent tutus!
Speaking of tutus, I found a new vintage ballet store near the theatre - it was like stepping into a ballerina’s wonderland. So much inspiration! Let’s just say I’ll be back soon for some new pieces.
Fashion: Oh Là Là!
A Paris trip wouldn’t be complete without a dash of high fashion, darling. This afternoon, I ventured to the beautiful Champs-Élysées, where I indulged in a little retail therapy at Chanel. Who wouldn't love the timeless elegance and classic pieces that define the brand? There's nothing quite like finding a perfect outfit that makes you feel absolutely divine - and who can resist the delicate fabrics and classic Chanel black and white, with just a splash of my favourite pink (naturally!).
Foodie Frenzy
No journey to the City of Lights is complete without savouring its culinary delights, and I’ve been spoiling myself rotten! Today, I discovered this darling little boulangerie tucked away on a quiet side street near my hotel, where the pastries were heaven-sent. You can’t go wrong with a perfectly made croissant, freshly squeezed orange juice and, of course, the most beautiful macarons in a riot of colours.
Pink Tutu Power!
The day isn’t complete until I've seen the Eiffel Tower glistening under the Parisian sunset. You can never tire of the beauty of it, and standing there, surrounded by so much magic and inspiration, I couldn't help but feel the Pink Tutu Power flowing through me.
And there you have it, another delightful day in Paris! Stay tuned for my next adventures here, which promise more amazing sights, fabulous food, even more fabulous fashion, and who knows, maybe even a little bit of ballet dancing!
As Always, Keep your twirls high and your spirits bright!
Lots of love, Emma
P.S. I am just a ballerina, not a fashion critic or food critic - just wanted to mention it!!
