Oh la la! It’s Saturday morning and the sun is shining through the windows of my adorable little hotel room, and I’m absolutely buzzing. This weekend, darling, is going to be utterly divine! You see, I’ve been dreaming of Paris ever since I was a little girl, twirling around in my pink tutu and dreaming of dancing on the grand stages of the Palais Garnier. Well, guess what? That dream just came a little closer to becoming reality, because I’m in Paris, darling, and it is MAGICAL!
Remember how I was saying in last week’s post that my latest ballet performance was the absolute best yet? Well, guess what? It helped to fund this little trip of a lifetime, so a massive thank you to all of you lovely souls who came to watch. The applause was amazing, and that positive energy just flowed into my soul and straight out to the tip of my toes! You all deserve a million virtual hugs for making this incredible trip possible!
As soon as I got off the Eurostar at Gare du Nord, I knew I was in for a treat. The cobblestone streets were so picturesque and everyone seemed so stylish. Of course, I couldn’t resist adding my own splash of colour to the Parisian scene, by wearing my new fuchsia pink tulle tutu with a matching headband. My friends might laugh and call me crazy, but it’s my own little Parisian adventure, and I am living my absolute best life, wearing my very own tutu in Paris!
The hotel is right near the Louvre, and let me tell you, my dear, it’s a real fairytale. All fancy and romantic, with big windows and chandeliers – like a scene straight out of my ballet books! I’ve already had a delicious croissant for breakfast and I'm planning on spending the day exploring the Louvre and perhaps finding a gorgeous little Parisian bistro for lunch. I can already imagine myself sipping a cafe au lait, enjoying the ambiance and feeling oh so chic.
The Best of the Best: Must-Sees on my Paris Itinerary
My itinerary is jam-packed with fun and I’m excited to share it all with you. Get ready to be whisked away on a Parisian adventure with a touch of pink magic:
- Palais Garnier (The Paris Opera): You know me, darling. Ballet is my lifeblood! Seeing a ballet at the Palais Garnier has been a lifelong dream. I've booked tickets to see Swan Lake this evening - you can just imagine the sheer spectacle! I'm going to dress in my fanciest pink gown and a shimmering tutu - all those glamorous ladies at the opera need a little sparkle in their lives, wouldn’t you agree?
- Shopping, Shopping, Shopping!: Now, it's time for my other favourite passion! Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a spot of retail therapy. The city is a shopaholic's paradise! My first stop will be Galleries Lafayette. I’m hearing rumours about the most beautiful pink tutu collection – it would look perfect against the ornate Parisian architecture, don’t you think?
- Sacré-Cœur Basilica: I hear this basilica is absolutely breathtaking, so of course, I have to see it. They say there’s a perfect view from Montmartre, and my darling, a beautiful view always makes me feel inspired! Maybe even inspired enough to find my next pink tutu!
- A Trip on a Bateau Mouche: I’m so excited about a boat trip on the Seine. How perfect to enjoy a glass of champagne whilst gliding under the Parisian bridges, seeing the iconic landmarks, and taking in all that beauty!
- The Eiffel Tower: What's a trip to Paris without ascending the iconic Eiffel Tower? Imagine the panoramic view from the top - a pink tutu against the cityscape, oh darling, I’m already planning the Instagram moment!
