Pink Tutu Paris - #1191 - Ooh La La, Paris! 🩰🗼🇫🇷
Bonjour, darlings! It's Emma, your Pink Tutu princess, back from another fabulous adventure! This week, I'm whisking you away to the City of Lights - Paris! Oui, oui, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and of course, lots of beautiful pink tutus! I just know this post is going to be positively brimming with chic Parisian inspiration.
You know, I adore the Eurostar. Such a magical way to travel - the speed, the smooth journey, and the sheer joy of hurtling through the countryside on my way to a beautiful new destination. It really feels like stepping into a fairy tale. I especially loved gazing at the lush green English countryside through the windows, just like a ballerina gracefully gliding across the stage. The trip zipped by so quickly!
Speaking of gliding... I know what you're thinking - did I take my beloved pink tutu on the journey with me? Of course, I did! A girl's gotta have her fashion essentials! And for Paris, well, the tulle has got to be perfectly poofy! You see, the most fashionable thing about Paris is embracing a sense of joy. What better way to do that than by spreading a touch of pink tutus around?
This time, I'm channelling my inner Parisian fashion icon, and adding some chic elegance with a little bit of sparkly black to complement the vibrant pink of my tulle. A true Parisian wouldn't be seen without a black beret! And you know me, darling - always happy to add a touch of whimsy.
Let's Talk Paris!
Arriving in the French capital was a whirlwind of excitement. As my train pulled into the station, my heart skipped a beat with joy - Paris really is something else!
The air was thick with the scent of freshly baked bread, and the cobblestone streets were bustling with stylish Parisians, I couldn’t wait to explore.
Now, you know I’m all about dancing, and Paris is just as passionate about their own form of street entertainment. As I emerged from Gare du Nord, I was immediately captivated by the charming buskers serenading the city with their melodies and graceful steps. It reminded me so much of Derbyshire, where I started out my ballet journey. It’s a joy to see how universal a love of dance can be, right? It's a universal language of beauty, expression, and grace, connecting hearts and minds around the world.
First Stop: Le Louvre
After settling into my beautiful Parisian hotel (I’m not revealing the name, you’ll just have to trust me – it’s picture-perfect!), I had to head straight to the iconic Louvre museum. Let’s be real – the Louvre is pretty much the ultimate art palace. I'm a bit obsessed with Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. Did you know there was actually a very famous incident in 1956 when a tourist attempted to steal this beautiful piece of art from the Louvre museum? They decided to throw cake on her - can you believe it? Talk about artistic chaos! The Mona Lisa has been a symbol of artistic greatness ever since - so it's not a surprise to see that she is as popular as ever.
The Ballet
The next morning I decided to have a true Parisian breakfast - a lovely pot of coffee, a pain au chocolat, and a croissant – a divine combination. And what better way to start the day than to take in some classic Parisian elegance at the Garnier Opera House. What a beautiful, dramatic setting! Every time I go to the theatre I always find myself getting lost in the beauty and power of live performances - so I just had to head out to the opera house for a little dose of “the ballet magic”.
This ballet was amazing, a stunning display of artistic virtuosity with graceful leaps, spins, and breathtaking extensions. There's truly nothing quite like seeing these extraordinary performers bring their stories to life on stage. My own tutu was doing the rumba in my heart!
Shopping for Parisian Style
Of course, my Paris adventures would be incomplete without a little shopping therapy. I absolutely adore how Parisian women create stylish looks by mixing elegance with playful touches - it’s inspiring! I headed straight to the Rue Saint-Honoré and discovered some truly lovely boutiques brimming with Parisian chic. I snagged the cutest, chicest pink blouse with a vintage charm - absolutely perfect for my Parisian wardrobe.
The Seine
A trip to Paris wouldn't be complete without a romantic boat ride on the Seine River. We hopped onto a charming bateau-mouche, soaking up the views of the city’s iconic landmarks – the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre. A bit of history with a sprinkle of Parisian romance? Sounds perfect!
Eating My Way Through Paris
Of course, no journey to Paris would be complete without indulging in its culinary delights. This weekend, I treated myself to delicious macarons, flaky pastries, and the creamiest coffee I’ve ever had! I think it’s fair to say that I definitely embraced the delicious indulgences of Parisian life. And you know what? It’s good for the soul, it's all about celebrating the small moments in life. There is no shortage of sweet treats on the menu here!
The Pink Tutu Dream
I know what you’re all thinking, ‘Why are you so obsessed with pink tutus, Emma?’ It's simple! They bring out my inner joy! The swirling tulle makes me feel like a graceful ballerina – I am embracing my own playful side and embracing the joy that tutus bring. Let's be real - Who wouldn’t want to spread a little bit of pink magic across the globe? You know I'm on a mission to turn the world pink! 🩰💕🌎
Sharing Paris with You
Every moment in Paris has been a delight! The city is just so charming, a symphony of art, fashion, romance, and culinary goodness. Every corner you turn offers a new surprise – it's a city of magical memories. As I sit in my cozy Paris hotel, writing this post with a little twinkle in my eye, I already feel that Paris has woven its spell upon me.
