Bonjour from the City of Lights! 💖🗼 #PinkTutuBlogParis
Hello, my darling tutu-wearing friends! It’s your favourite pink-loving, twirling, travel-obsessed ballerina, Emma, back with you on another glorious Saturday! 🩰 Today marks blog post number 1192 from yours truly – can you believe it?
It feels like just yesterday I was clumsily hopping around in my tiny pink tutu at my first ballet class, and now I’m here in Paris, the fashion capital of the world, surrounded by couture and cobblestone streets! 🇫🇷 Oh, the irony, you say? But I like to think my pink tutu fits right in, a splash of colour against the monochrome elegance of Parisian architecture.
I arrived in the City of Lights earlier this week after a thrilling train journey on the EuroStar. Oh, the excitement of seeing those shimmering lights slowly illuminate the French countryside as I tucked into a croissant and a cup of strong, fragrant coffee! It felt like a scene straight out of a film – except instead of the glamorous couple in love, it was me and my gigantic suitcase crammed full of pink tutus! 😄
This trip is made possible, as always, by my favourite pastime: performing ballet! Last month, I danced at a charity gala in my home town of Derbyshire, England – all those fancy steps and twirls, and it all amounted to enough money to finance my Parisian adventure! Talk about twirling your way to success! ✨
Now, let me fill you in on all the amazing things I’ve been up to in the last few days:
Friday's Parisian Promenade:
Stepping off the train into the Gare du Nord felt magical. The air crackled with a different kind of energy – the buzz of city life. You could feel the history in the air, but more than anything, it was the atmosphere of style and culture that got me giddy.
My first order of business, of course, was finding the perfect place to take a Parisian selfie with my tutu. I settled for the Jardin des Tuileries – gorgeous green spaces filled with sculpted trees and charming fountains. My pink tutu, believe it or not, fit in seamlessly amongst the romantic floral displays and manicured lawns! I'm talking Instagram-worthy! 😍
A Ballet Delight:
On Friday night, I was fortunate enough to snag tickets to the Paris Opera Ballet – can you even imagine my excitement? The theatre was a symphony of plush velvet and golden chandeliers, a true testament to the artistry and opulence of Parisian culture.
And then came the ballet – Giselle, with its tale of tragic love and vengeful spirits, it completely transported me to a different world! It was an emotional whirlwind! Even though the entire ballet was told in silent grace, I felt every twirl and every plié deep in my soul. Afterward, I spent ages watching the dancers warm up in their stylish rehearsal outfits – true ballerinas, the epitome of elegance and athleticism.
Saturday’s Parisian Promenade - Day Edition:
Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without some shopping, so I dedicated my Saturday to exploring the chic boutiques on the Champs-Élysées. I indulged in a pair of chic black and white ballet shoes that were a touch too much to resist (whoops!) and some fabulous tulle fabric to whip up a new pink tutu - it’s always fun to have a little sparkle in my wardrobe! ✨ I also found the cutest little cafe tucked away on a cobbled side street, where I had a scrumptious pain au chocolat and a lovely cup of hot chocolate. They even had pink and white striped tablecloths, which felt rather fitting! 💖
A Few Words About Fashion:
Every day, Paris seems to outdo itself when it comes to fashion. From the intricate detail of the ladies’ scarves and hats to the effortlessly stylish way the Parisian gentlemen carried themselves, this city is a masterclass in fashion. But I find my own personal style is equally inspiring: being brave and embracing the things that make me, me, regardless of trends or expectations. And my favourite statement piece? Why, it’s got to be my pink tutu! It's an embodiment of my vibrant, feminine energy, and it certainly doesn't shy away from drawing attention!
The Pink Tutu Revolution Continues!
So here’s the message I want to leave you with, my lovely readers: don’t be afraid to embrace your uniqueness! I’ve seen so many shy, lovely ladies in Paris who secretly adore pink tutus, but are afraid to embrace their inner ballerina. So go ahead and let your twirling flag fly high, embrace your inner grace, and wear that pink tutu with pride. You’ll be amazed at how many smiles and compliments it can bring you!
As for me, I can't wait to see what Parisian magic awaits tomorrow! I've already made plans for a lovely brunch at a boulangerie near the Louvre Museum. Maybe I'll see the Mona Lisa wearing a pink tutu – you never know! 😄
*Don’t forget to join me again next Saturday, for another adventure from #PinkTutuBlogParis! And remember: every day is an opportunity to twirl with confidence and grace! 💖🩰 *
Until next time,
Your Pink Tutu Princess,
Emma 💖
