#PinkTutuBlogParis: Bonjour from the City of Lights! (Post #1196)
Bonjour mes chéries! It's Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to the most fabulous city in the world – Paris! I just had to share all the pink-tastic fun I had, so grab your favourite cuppa and get comfy, because this post is going to be a long one!
I’m sitting here on the EuroStar, zipping back to Derbyshire, reminiscing about my Parisian adventure. As the lush green countryside of northern France flashes by, I can’t help but feel a little melancholic, but mostly I’m overflowing with excitement to tell you all about it!
EuroStar Dreams
You guys know how much I adore train journeys – there’s something magical about gliding through landscapes and leaving all the stresses of everyday life behind. My recent EuroStar adventure was no exception. The smooth, fast journey felt like stepping into a stylish Parisian dream!
It's a truly beautiful experience, especially with my latest travel companion – my new pink tutu bag. Yes, you read that right! It’s the perfect size for carrying all my ballet essentials (a couple of leotards, my trusty dance shoes, and my essential pink lip gloss!) and it adds a touch of pink-tastic whimsy to my travel outfit. It was definitely a head-turner at Gare du Nord – people stopped to admire it! 😉
Pink Tutu Parisien Style
Let’s be honest, my love affair with Paris isn’t new – the city practically whispers "pink tutu” in its charmingly romantic way! But this trip was extra special. As a ballerina and a pink tutu aficionado, there's something incredibly inspiring about strolling down the boulevards of Paris – feeling the pulse of creativity and witnessing the city's elegant street style.
I've always believed in injecting a touch of whimsy into my fashion, and in Paris, the sky's the limit for self-expression. My pink tutu, with its frilly tiers, felt perfectly in sync with the Parisian flair for fashion – bold, elegant, and effortlessly captivating. I paired it with a blush pink cashmere cardigan (you know I love a touch of delicate pink!) and my trusty ballet flats, for a look that was both sophisticated and playful.
Parisian Ballet Bliss
No Parisian adventure would be complete without some ballet! This time, I was lucky enough to catch a captivating performance at the Opéra Garnier. The breathtaking architecture, the sheer talent of the dancers, the intricate costumes – everything was absolutely spellbinding! Watching those beautiful ballerinas leap and pirouette on that magnificent stage brought me immense joy.
Shopping with a Pink Tutu Twist
Paris is a shopper's paradise, and I admit, I had a blast scouring the vintage boutiques in the Marais and the stylish shops around Saint-Germain-des-Prés. I unearthed a vintage lace shawl that would look simply divine with my next pink tutu ensemble – perfect for those crisp autumn evenings back in Derbyshire!
Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Louvre. As you know, I'm a bit of a history buff, but even I must admit, it was the sculptures I was most captivated by. Especially those beautiful and expressive dancers, made from marble and bronze – they looked like they could twirl right out of their poses. My inner ballerina was truly inspired!
Pink Tutu Delights
There's just something about the atmosphere in Paris that makes me feel happy and energized – a pink tutu kind of happiness, if you will. From the charming street performers on the cobblestone streets to the exquisite pastries at the patisseries (I just had to try every pink macaron!), it was a constant whirlwind of beauty and joy.
My Top Parisian Pink Tutu Recommendations:
The Eiffel Tower at sunset. This iconic monument is even more magical when the city starts to shimmer under the golden light of twilight.
The Latin Quarter. A beautiful neighbourhood with bustling cafes, ancient libraries, and captivating bookshops – perfect for a Parisian pink tutu escapade!
The Place des Vosges. This grand square, with its beautiful gardens and grand 17th-century architecture, offers a serene escape from the bustling city streets.
Paris: A Pink Tutu Paradise
My Parisian adventure was a complete joy. Every day was filled with wonder, beauty, and delightful discoveries. And just imagine, all the inspiring performances, fashion finds, and romantic settings that are just waiting to be captured by your cameras. Maybe even with a pink tutu?
This isn’t just a trip about travelling for a ballerina and fashion enthusiast. It’s about creating unforgettable experiences, and capturing memories that will stay with you forever – that's the pink tutu spirit. I’ve already begun planning my next Parisian getaway. Will you join me?
Until next Saturday,
Your Pink Tutu Gal, Emma
