Pink Tutu Paris - #1251 - Saturday, 16th December 2023: City of Lights, Pink Delights!

Bonjour, darlings! Emma here, reporting live from the magical City of Lights! I’ve arrived in Paris, feeling like a real-life ballerina in my favourite pink tutu (the one with the sparkly tulle, obviously!) after a gloriously smooth journey on the Eurostar. Let’s just say, the French countryside looked even more charming through the window, my head bobbing along to some dreamy classical music. I swear, even the train carriage had a certain Parisian je ne sais quoi!

It’s official – my obsession with Paris is getting out of hand! It's just the most beautiful city I’ve ever been to, with so much to explore, from the romantic Seine River, to the majestic Eiffel Tower and everything in between. I already feel the Parisian spirit taking over - even my usual morning latte feels more sophisticated with a delicate sprinkle of cinnamon and a cute little biscuit.

You see, my dearest readers, this week's adventures in Paris were inspired by something truly special: a dream of dancing amidst the iconic cityscape. This year, as you all know, I’ve been busy making my ballet dreams come true. Not only have I been perfecting my pirouettes, I've also been funding my trips through performances in Derbyshire - my little ballet business is thriving!

My ultimate Parisian goal is to create the most spectacular tutu-filled ballet performance in the city. Yes, I know it sounds a little bonkers, but hey, I've been rocking pink tutus for years. I’ve got this!

But back to today…

A Perfect Day In Paris:

After arriving in Paris, I checked into my darling hotel (a quaint, charming affair that would make any ballerina blush - with chandeliers, plush carpets and a touch of Parisian chic!). I felt like I stepped straight out of a fairy tale! My little pink luggage bag with its tutu bow was already making a statement, and the concierge greeted me with a wide smile.

The plan was simple – to see a show that day - one that was both spectacular and moving. Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Paris adventure without a ballet show, so I took to the metro, my trusty tutu twirling with every step. I even managed to grab a delicious Parisian baguette on my way, savouring its buttery crust with a sigh of pure bliss.

Tonight, I was treating myself to The Nutcracker at the magnificent Palais Garnier. The whole theatre radiated elegance and grandeur! It’s truly the ultimate Parisian ballet experience. Just the sight of those elaborate costumes, the swirling waltzes, and the heartwarming story sent chills down my spine. My feet almost tapped to the music during the grand finale!

Shopping Spree in Paradise:

It’s not a secret that a Parisian shopping trip is like a ballerina's dream. After the ballet, I decided to indulge in a little retail therapy in the chic shops of the 8th arrondissement. You can't leave Paris without adding a touch of Parisian glamour to your wardrobe. And let's face it, who can resist a vintage-inspired tutu or two, maybe even a velvet jacket to wear with it for a night out at the Moulin Rouge? I’m planning on trying to learn the Can Can on my next visit. I think my tutu is up for it!

But I didn't forget about you, my dear readers! While browsing a little boutique, I discovered the most incredible pink tutu shop tucked away in a quiet courtyard. Just imagine it – tutus of every shade, style and size, all waiting to be twirled! My heart went pitter-patter with excitement. They even had some adorable mini-tutus for my little niece, Eliza! (Maybe she’ll join me on a Parisian ballet adventure one day - it’s all a bit much for a baby ballerina just yet!)

Parisian Indulgence:

After a long day filled with shopping and theatre magic, it was time to treat myself to a classic Parisian meal. I found myself seated at a delightful café by the Seine, where the aroma of freshly baked croissants danced in the air. I indulged in a warm, creamy crème brûlée and sipped on a velvety hot chocolate (just like the one in the storybook!). A plate of "Crêpes Suzette" (the most exquisite little pancakes doused in a tangy, citrus sauce) provided the perfect end to a Parisian dream day.

The Magical Ballet Dream:

Parisian life feels like a dream, especially with all the pink tutus in sight! I even caught myself twirling and twirling while browsing shops, dreaming of all the beautiful locations I can incorporate in my next Parisian tutu show. It's going to be epic - full of breathtaking moves and even more spectacular outfits. Maybe a ballerina-inspired tutu dress in Parisian colors, complete with the Eiffel Tower motif, or a modern tutu with bold Parisian graffiti… The possibilities are endless, just like my love for this extraordinary city.

Until next time, dear readers. Stay tuned for my next Parisian adventure, with new outfits and even more Parisian pink tulle delights! Don’t forget, it's all about embracing the pink tutu dream!

Bisous,

Emma
