I've been dreaming of Paris for years, and finally, after a magical journey on the EuroStar (did I mention how much I adore travelling by train?!), I've arrived in the City of Lights. This trip, like every one, is funded by my passion – ballet! A series of lovely performances, a few weeks ago, gave me the perfect excuse to book myself a mini-break and indulge in everything that makes my heart sing: fashion, theatre, and of course, tutus! 💕
I've landed in Paris, and it's absolutely breathtaking! Just walking through the streets, with the scent of fresh pastries wafting around, the chic Parisian ladies whizzing past on scooters, and the laughter and music echoing from the cafes, has me feeling like I've stepped straight out of a film! I even caught sight of a stunning red, vintage Citroën DS - you'd think they only exist in films, but they do!
I'm staying in a darling little hotel tucked away in the heart of the 8th arrondissement. It's so quintessentially French, with its delicate floral wallpaper, a clawfoot bathtub (just like in the movies!) and an unbelievably cute balcony overlooking the bustling street.
Speaking of the street, Paris is definitely a fashion lover's paradise. The Parisian style is so chic, effortless, and yet undeniably sophisticated! I've already spotted a couple of gorgeous vintage stores I can't wait to explore. I mean, can you really have a Parisian adventure without indulging in some exquisite fashion finds? It would be unthinkable!
Oh, and did I tell you about the tutu? 🤫 It’s pink, obviously, and just as delightful as the Parisian atmosphere. The blush silk swishes beautifully as I twirl, it feels perfect amongst the Eiffel Tower’s majesty and Parisian charm. Every day feels like an enchanted fairy tale here! ✨
Speaking of enchanted tales, today, I'm going to spend the afternoon experiencing a classic French theatrical masterpiece – The Nutcracker at the Palais Garnier! I’ve got my fanciest pink outfit (a shimmering cocktail dress this time, with a subtle pink feather trim that nods to the tutus!), and I'm beyond excited to soak in the beautiful music and incredible choreography of this iconic ballet. 🩰
Tonight, I'm going to grab a glass of wine (with just a little splash of raspberry liqueur – pink, of course!), soak up the atmosphere at a quaint Parisian cafe and then take a leisurely walk down the Seine, admiring the twinkling lights reflected in the water. My camera is charged and ready to capture all the Parisian magic!
Remember, every day is a new opportunity to embrace the magic of the world!
