Bonjour mes chéries! ? ??
It’s Saturday again, and that means it’s time for a fresh #PinkTutuBlogParis post! I’m absolutely bursting with excitement to tell you all about my recent Parisian escapade. After all, who needs a long weekend when you can have a whirlwind adventure with a train ticket, a suitcase bursting with pink tutus, and a heart brimming with joie de vivre?
I travelled by Eurostar again, which I absolutely adore. The train itself is a little slice of luxury – comfy seats, plenty of space to admire my latest pink tutu purchase, and a lovely little bistro carriage where I treated myself to a croissant and a delicious latte. Just the way to kickstart a Parisian journey, don’t you think?
Arriving at Gare du Nord was just as magical as always. Paris feels different than anywhere else – vibrant, romantic, and a little bit cheeky. I took a deep breath, the scent of freshly baked bread and buttery croissants filling my lungs, and smiled. This was my city, and I was ready for another Parisian adventure!
The Ultimate Parisian Ballet Feast! Now, this week, I’ve been on a real Parisian ballet bender. You know how I feel about a good ballet show, but Paris, my dears, it’s a whole other level. First, I headed straight for the iconic Palais Garnier. Its stunning architecture just takes your breath away! Stepping inside felt like stepping into a fairytale – ornate, opulent, and completely awe-inspiring. The show I saw, "Giselle", was breathtaking. Every pirouette, every grand jeté, just perfectly executed, with such emotion and artistry! It left me utterly captivated, wishing I could have a twirl around that grand stage myself!
Later that week, I had a divine class at L’Ecole de Danse de Paris. Now, it wasn’t just any ballet class, it was an “Advanced Ballerina Techniques" workshop! My tutu twirled furiously as I embraced those challenging positions, my muscles working hard, but with such joy! Oh, and did I mention I got to learn the most exquisite variation from a "Swan Lake" pas de deux?
But that wasn't all, my ballet bonanza was far from over! The next evening, I wandered through the Latin Quarter, the pink tutu bouncing merrily against the cobbled streets, looking for something completely different - "Street Ballet Paris", an impromptu performance in the Jardin du Luxembourg! It was just the most unexpected joy, a spontaneous outpouring of pure ballet artistry, performed amidst the chattering Parisian crowd. It’s the kind of experience that makes you realize how art transcends borders, languages, and even planned events.
Pink-a-licious Shopping Spree!Of course, a trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without a little retail therapy, and this trip was no exception. Let’s just say my luggage is groaning with pinkness, my lovelies! I just couldn’t resist!
This time, I found myself wandering the charming streets of Le Marais. The Parisian vintage boutiques are just magical – each one an explosion of colour and creativity. And I, my dear tutu-loving souls, found myself falling in love with all things pastel pink. Think silk scarves with delicate floral designs, whimsical vintage dresses, and a stack of headbands perfect for those chic ballerina bun days. Oh, and did I mention I discovered a little hidden treasure: a tutu shop! You know, those delicate, feathery creations, just calling out for a dance! It was like a ballet paradise – so much inspiration, I barely managed to choose!
Parisian Cuisine, A Love AffairSpeaking of love affairs, my dear readers, the love affair continues with Parisien food! I've always loved croissants, but here they’re something special. Every morning, it was “croissant et café" for breakfast – oh, and a little pink macaron or two for good measure! They have to be sampled, these little morsels of pure happiness!
And for a late-afternoon pick-me-up? You bet! I’m still swooning over the pastries at a hidden little patisserie in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. I’m not even going to try and describe them, my darling tutu-wearers, just go there and experience it for yourself.
Final Thoughts...So there you have it, my Parisian adventures! Another wonderful week, filled with dancing, laughter, and just the most captivating memories. If you're feeling the Parisian urge, grab your pinkest tutu, hop on a train, and come experience the magic for yourself. I promise you won’t regret it.
Au revoir, my little tutu-wearing darlings! I’ll be back next week, ready to share even more Parisian delights.
Stay tuned,
Emma xoxo
