Bonjour, darlings! The Eurostar has just whizzed me into the City of Lights, and my heart is doing a grand jeté! I'm absolutely brimming with excitement to share my Paris adventures with you all this week. Today marks the beginning of a whirlwind tour of the most fabulous Parisian sights, from the iconic Eiffel Tower to the magical Palais Garnier.
And of course, no Parisian escapade is complete without a touch of pink. My travel-friendly tutu is already packed (pink, naturally!), along with enough tulle to rival a fairytale. It wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Blog adventure without a sprinkle of that iconic frill, right?
Before we embark on our fashion-filled Parisian pilgrimage, let's delve into the delicious details of my trip!
Whizzing Through The Channel with Eurostar
My journey started with a touch of old-school glamour - a sleek Eurostar carriage whizzing me through the English countryside. The comfort, the scenery, and the smooth, efficient journey really do make the train a fantastic way to travel. No airports, no queues, just a cup of tea and a peek out the window to the rapidly shifting landscape - perfect for dreaming of all the fabulous things Paris has to offer.
My Pink Paradise Awaits
Arriving at Gare du Nord, a shiver of excitement went right through me. Paris, oh Paris! My Parisian flat is located in a beautiful Haussmann-era building, complete with a little courtyard and an overflowing pot of pink geraniums (my inner ballerina does a pirouette at the sight!). My balcony has a view of the city's rooftops, perfect for morning stretches and sipping my tea while watching the sun rise over Paris.
The Ballet Mecca
Tonight's big highlight: The Palais Garnier! I've been eagerly anticipating seeing Swan Lake here, and I can practically hear the orchestra already! Just imagining the soaring tutus and intricate choreography has my heart beating to the rhythm of Tchaikovsky. And my outfit? Oh, my darling, a stunning, bespoke, pale pink tutu that I made myself. I just have to make a splash in the City of Lights.
An Enchanted Evening
We took the metro this evening, and what an experience! This magical city was bursting with life after sunset. From street musicians playing haunting melodies, to couples enjoying a leisurely dinner in a bustling bistro, the romance of Paris enveloped me. We wandered the streets and I was instantly smitten by the boutiques tucked into each cobblestoned alleyway. Oh, to have unlimited time to explore all of those!
Dress to Impress - My Parisian Style
I know I am always preaching about pink tutus (it’s what we do in the Pink Tutu Blog), but Paris has a unique magic for all fashion lovers. We spotted the most breathtaking creations in vintage shops, trendy boutiques, and elegant department stores. I just had to treat myself to a beautiful pink silk scarf, and I may have gone a little crazy for French macarons (a delicate pink was, of course, a must!).
Tomorrow's Itinerary
I'm getting so excited about what tomorrow holds! The day begins with a Parisian ballet class to stretch out those dance muscles. After that, we are going to walk down the Champs-Elysees and soak up the atmosphere. Who knows what kind of pink magic awaits me tomorrow?
