Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post #1408 - 19th December 2026: Ooh la la! A Parisian Dream

Bonjour mes amis!

It's Emma here, fresh from a whirlwind trip to the City of Lights, ready to share all the fabulousness with you! I just had to dash back to the blog to spill the tea on this latest adventure, so buckle up, darlings, as I whisk you away to the pink-tinted magic of Paris.

This trip was all thanks to a truly spectacular performance I did last week at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. You know me, always keeping busy! As soon as those final notes faded, I was off on the EuroStar, feeling like a proper ballerina princess, all sparkly tulle and elegant bobbin lace. Speaking of tulle… did you see my new blush pink tutu, adorned with tiny hand-stitched cherry blossoms? Simply divine, isn't it? The perfect Parisian companion, don't you think?

Train Tracks to Triumph:

There's something incredibly romantic about travelling by train, especially when you're going to Paris! With my fluffy pink suitcase stuffed with darling outfits (because a girl needs options, especially when Parisian window displays beckon with their endless allure) and my trusty ballet bag full of necessities, I settled into my compartment, sipping on some steaming Earl Grey and admiring the picturesque English countryside rolling by. The EuroStar itself is so chic and comfortable, with perfectly-sized compartments, plush seats and oh-so-reliable wifi. I had a productive journey, crafting the blog post outline and replying to all your lovely messages. The journey is truly a part of the Parisian adventure, darling!

Arrival: A Pastel Dream

And then, poof - we were in the heart of Paris. The iconic Gare du Nord was buzzing with life, and my Parisian adventure began in earnest. Taking a deep breath of the crisp winter air and the tantalising scent of fresh croissants and burnt sugar (a hint of what was to come!), I headed out to explore the charming, bustling streets. This time, I decided to stay in a sweet little boutique hotel near the Louvre. Oh, the windows overlooking the Seine River! And my room… pure Parisian chic - all ivory, pale pink and intricate details, the perfect place to change into my fabulous, sparkly ballet outfit!

An Evening of Ballet Magic:

Of course, the main reason for my trip was to indulge in Paris's legendary ballet scene. Tonight's performance was the Giselle at the Palais Garnier, an absolutely exquisite show! I had my pink tulle tutu on, naturally, and found myself getting a bit carried away, imagining I was on the stage with them. It’s a truly moving experience, witnessing these incredible dancers with their effortless grace and artistry, transporting you to another world. You know I'm already daydreaming about the next ballet performance – any recommendations for next time, darlings?

Delicious Delights: Oh, Those Croissants!

After the show, a stop for dinner at a cute bistro on the Champs-Élysées was a must. Parisian cuisine is tres divine! I simply couldn't resist indulging in their decadent croque monsieurs, piled high with melted cheese, creamy béchamel, and those perfectly crispy ham slices. I felt like a true French lady, taking my time to savor each bite, a glass of delicious rosé by my side. Honestly, you can't beat Parisian pastries - those perfectly flakey croissants, and buttery macarons are so moreish, you simply must give in to their siren call.

Parisian Style:

No trip to Paris would be complete without some fashion therapy, would it? Shopping is a vital part of the Parisian experience, and it's never more appealing than in December. Oh, the window displays! My dear friend, Emily, joined me for some fashion exploration and I confess we were both lost in a blissful blur of high fashion. The beautiful fabrics and the elegant designs just pulled me in, like a moth to a flame. My favourite discovery was this stunning pale pink lace dress - perfect for twirling. Oh, and have you seen the shoes? Simply exquisite! We took our time, trying on different outfits, adding to our collections of Parisian-inspired charm and creating some delightful memories.

Christmas Cheer in the City of Lights:

Paris truly blossoms with festive magic during the holidays. Everywhere I turned there were twinkly Christmas lights, Christmas markets filled with festive treats and warm roasted chestnuts, and cheerful carolers adding to the magical ambiance. The grand avenue, Champs-Élysées, was an awe-inspiring sight - bathed in a magnificent display of golden light. We wandered around admiring the incredible shop window displays. They all had such enchanting Christmas themes. It made me so excited for Christmas back home.

Pink Tutu Parisian Promesses:

You know, darling, my little pink tutu brought me a whole lot of smiles and a sprinkle of Parisian magic this trip. From the friendly Parisian ladies in chic scarves to the sweet old gentlemen admiring the Eiffel Tower from beneath their beret-clad heads, the charm of Paris spread its magic everywhere I went. I think we can all use a little sprinkle of that Parisian magic! What if, dear reader, you decided to try something new this week, to embrace a little bit of joy and whimsy, and put on your own version of a pink tutu? It could be a pink sweater, a playful pink dress, a beautiful pink floral bouquet or even just a bright pink scarf. Just remember to put a little twirl into your walk, just like they do here in Paris!

I’ll be back next Saturday with another exciting tale from Paris. But for now, let’s make the world a little more pink, one tutu at a time, yes?

Au revoir, mes amis!

Emma

PS: Did I mention that I even had the chance to take a little ballet class while I was in Paris? Talk about dreams coming true! Let me know if you'd like me to write about my experiences with my new ballet teacher, Sylvie, in the comments!
