Bonjour, my darlings! Emma here, your pink tutu-wearing ballerina extraordinaire, and I’m absolutely buzzing to be back in Paris!
This city, it just steals my heart, time and time again. I adore its elegant architecture, the charming cafe culture, and the infectious joie de vivre.
But honestly, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty – my wardrobe in Paris is about to get a seriously chic upgrade! I mean, how can you resist a little Parisian fashion inspiration?
I hopped on the EuroStar this morning, feeling absolutely chuffed with myself. There’s something magical about the high-speed train journeys across Europe. It’s such a sophisticated way to travel. You feel like you're stepping into a scene straight out of a stylish film. And as always, my pink tutu was front and centre, ready to bring a dash of whimsy to the carriages!
What’s on the agenda this weekend?
Well, my lovelies, you know I couldn't resist making a trip to the Palais Garnier. The home of the Paris Opera, this architectural masterpiece is simply breathtaking! And don’t even get me started on the sumptuous interiors - think swirling staircases, opulent chandeliers, and exquisite gilded details. I can't imagine a better setting for a dazzling performance of "La Bayadère". I might even be brave enough to sneak in a pirouette or two myself... wink wink
Of course, no Paris trip would be complete without a little retail therapy, would it? I’m thinking a spree on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. I just need a new pair of ballet shoes that scream Parisian elegance and sophistication – a real statement piece! Oh, and maybe some fabulously feathered headwear for the theatre? I might even find a pink hat to really add some colour to my outfit.
But the highlight of the weekend will be Saturday evening. I'm going to see the renowned ballet company Les Étoiles at the Theatre des Champs-Élysées! This legendary venue has seen so many famous ballerinas grace its stage – I’m incredibly excited to be there, watching some of the world’s most talented dancers. This trip, this whole Parisian adventure, it's all inspired by my passion for ballet, and being able to witness performances like these is simply priceless.
Speaking of performances, let me tell you – my little pink tutu and I have been incredibly busy keeping the shows going back in Derbyshire! This week, we performed at a local school’s fundraiser. The children were so enthusiastic, it just warms the heart to see them enjoying themselves. And as for their costumes – well, they definitely were all about pink, and some tutus made it on stage!
