This week, my dear readers, we're on the train track of Parisian adventure! (Can you tell I love trains?! ? It's the most stylish way to travel!) After a smooth, chic EuroStar ride, I've landed back in the heart of Paris – the most beautiful city in the world, in my opinion! – ready for another whirlwind week of ballets, shows, and oh-so-lovely shopping escapades. ?
But before we dive into this week's escapades, let's give a shout out to #1415, my Parisian blog post! A major milestone that has brought me even closer to my mission of spreading the joy of the pink tutu to every corner of the world! You see, ladies, a pink tutu is not just a piece of clothing, it’s an attitude – an expression of fun, joy, and freedom! Who needs a tiara when you’ve got a fluffy pink tutu to make you feel like royalty? ?
Speaking of fabulous, today, Saturday 2027-02-06, Paris has an especially magical feel! It's a beautiful crisp day, perfect for a long Parisian walk through the iconic streets and parks, stopping to take photos at every stunning building (because, Instagram worthy!) And let's not forget, it's a day dedicated to a true Parisian gem: les croissants! ? It’s the day every Parisian (and myself!) indulges in the perfect croissant, ideally enjoyed with a hot cup of strong coffee. Bonjour croissant!
Ballet, Boutiques, and Beauté:
Paris has me absolutely enthralled! It's such a melting pot of artistic expression – from the traditional beauty of the Palais Garnier, home of the iconic Paris Opera, to the edgy and modern choreography that defines ballet in this city.
Today, I'm off to see "Les Ombres dans l'Opera", a modern, experimental ballet piece performed at the stunning Theatre des Champs-Elysees. The playbill promises contemporary dance blended with theatrical lighting effects, and honestly, that sounds beyond incredible! I've been counting down the days to this, as the performance boasts a renowned dancer, a legend known for her grace and breathtaking fluidity. (Will be sharing snaps on Instagram, be sure to follow my account for sneak peeks and Parisian beauty!)
Speaking of ballet, this week's performance helped me to fund this whole Parisian adventure! It's the magic of "ballet for travel," darling! Performing in ballets across Derbyshire and England keeps me financially floating - allowing me to explore new corners of the world! ✈️ The energy of performing and the sheer joy of bringing dance to life inspires me to live life to the fullest, and that energy is exactly what brings me here to Paris, every chance I get!
But a Parisian journey isn't just about ballet. It's also about embracing Parisian fashion, soaking in the ambiance, and exploring the city's countless boutiques and art galleries. ?
This afternoon, I'll be whisking myself to the iconic Galeries Lafayette and Printemps! These grand department stores are absolute musts for every visitor. With designer labels galore, art deco architecture that makes your heart sing, and, dare I say, maybe a few surprises for my pink-tutu wardrobe, it's an experience you simply can't miss. ✨ Imagine – a delicate, lace tutu with pink detailing! Paris is simply divine!
Speaking of fashion, Paris is famous for its "art de la mode." A real Parisian knows how to mix styles effortlessly and with an innate sense of "je ne sais quoi." My aim is to capture the Parisian flair, injecting my personal, bubbly pink-tutu vibe to my look. My suitcase is always overflowing with the most enchanting, feminine, and oh-so-comfortable pink and pink-tutu inspired pieces. ?
And what's a Parisian escapade without indulging in delicious French pastries?! I just love watching bakers make those amazing "pain au chocolat." There is nothing better than a coffee break at a little cafe with a steaming cup of cafe au lait, watching the world go by. This week, my heart is set on a slice of classic tarte Tatin, an iconic French treat with caramelized apples. You can't go to Paris without savouring the taste of history and French elegance in every bite! ?
