Hello my lovely Pink Tutu Tribe! ? It’s Saturday, the sun is shining (even if it is a bit chilly out there) and guess what? I’m back in Paris! This is post number 1416 on the #PinkTutuBlogParis series – I know, I know, I'm just buzzing with Parisian inspiration! ?
For those of you who are new to my little corner of the internet, I'm Emma, a tutu-wearing, ballet-loving blogger from Derbyshire, England. I travel the world sharing my love for all things pink, pretty, and performing! And what better place to do that than the City of Lights? ?
This week, I took the EuroStar to Paris - a total dream, with those big comfy seats, good music, and no airport hassle. That makes a change from the frantic airport routine, let me tell you! ?
My Parisian adventure started with a visit to the breathtaking Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac. I'm obsessed with all things ethnological, so it was pure delight getting to immerse myself in such a beautiful collection of ancient and tribal art. Did you know there's even an Egyptian mummified cat there?! Talk about history and culture combined! ?
I just love wandering through the museums here. Each one seems to tell a different story and offers a chance to learn something new, or simply lose yourself in a work of art. Maybe that’s why I spend so much time visiting them! I’m definitely going to be writing a dedicated museum blog post later – with photos of course! ?
After a busy morning exploring, my next stop was a divine afternoon at La Pâtisserie des Rêves (literally 'Pastry of Dreams'! ? ). You guys have got to try their pastries – they are simply to die for! Seriously, they should call it “heaven on a plate" – it's that good! I'm talking intricate decorations, mouthwatering flavours, and all sorts of innovative ideas, and yes, it was even more beautiful than it sounds! I absolutely HAD to take pictures to share – watch out for them on my Instagram! ?
Later, I strolled along the charming streets of Montmartre and saw some fantastic street performances! It was like stepping back into time with traditional street dancers, singers, and even some street theatre! I got totally lost in the atmosphere – who knew the French had so much hidden talent? ✨
But of course, Paris wouldn't be Paris without a fabulous ballet show, would it? ? I had the absolute honour of seeing a spectacular production of "La Bayadère" at the Opéra Garnier. Let's just say, it was a showstopper! The costumes were unbelievable – layers and layers of silk, intricate embroidery, and of course, my all-time favourite colour - pink, naturally! ?
Oh, and can I just say, the stage itself was absolutely stunning – the scale, the detail, it really was an unforgettable performance! You know what else makes ballet special? It takes you out of everyday life, transporting you to a whole other world! ?
Before I forget, my trip wouldn't be complete without some incredible shopping. My wardrobe is now positively overflowing! I simply can't resist a bit of Parisian shopping – you know me, the tutu loving fashionista! ? I'm thinking of adding another post just about my shopping experience! I'll definitely share a list of the coolest stores I found – you'll want to get in on this! ?
The thing is, Paris is all about elegance, and even just walking around and soaking up the city feels special! It feels good to be wearing your pinkest clothes! ? You’d be amazed at how wearing pink lifts your mood, and I find the Parisian fashion sense absolutely inspiring – all those fabulous hats, the beautiful Parisian shoes, and those oh-so-stylish coats! And that effortless chic look! The French definitely know a thing or two about fashion! ?
Of course, you all know about my motto, “Pink tutus for everyone!” My ultimate mission is to convince the whole world that pink is the perfect colour for every occasion! And I think it’s even catching on here in Paris! ?
This beautiful city is definitely a big inspiration, and there's no doubt that it has a magic charm. If you haven't been, please try to come, but be warned - it's highly addictive! ?
