It’s Saturday, the sun is shining, and I'm back in Paris, the city of love, fashion, and of course, ballet! My darling tutu and I are having a fabulous time, and as always, I’m so excited to share all the pink and twirling joy with you on my blog! This is post #1417 on www.pink-tutu.com, a little celebration of all things pretty, Parisian, and a tiny bit whimsical!
Eurostar Adventures and Pink Tutu Glamour
The journey from my home in Derbyshire to Paris was pure magic. It wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu Travel adventure without a trip on the Eurostar, so I hopped on the train, settled into my comfy seat, and enjoyed the speedy, comfortable ride. Of course, I was a vision of Parisian chic, a la ballerina chic – think a flowing floral pink midi-dress (a new vintage find!), a tulle cardigan for a touch of whimsical elegance, and, of course, my signature pink tutu layered over the skirt, all topped off with a glamorous, floral headband! (Can’t travel without the flower power!).
As I gazed out the window, watching the English countryside fade into the rolling French hills, I thought about how my passion for ballet has taken me on the most incredible journey. I've been a ballerina since I was a little girl, dreaming of twirling my way around the stage, and through performing at countless shows, I’ve managed to fund these wonderful, glamorous travels! Each trip feels like a ballet in itself – I always choose destinations where I can find new inspiration, new performances to watch, and, naturally, new tutus to add to my collection!
Parisian Dream – Shopping & Shows
This trip is no different, my lovelies! As soon as I stepped off the train in Gare du Nord, I was immediately swept up in the Parisian charm. It's all so pretty, so romantic, and the aroma of fresh pastries and perfume is intoxicating. Of course, the first order of business was finding the most charming boutique on rue de Rivoli. I was hunting for the perfect tulle dress, and you know me, it had to be a beautiful shade of pink! It wasn't long before I found a darling, flowing pink confection that I'm just dying to show you. It was like it was meant to be – the shop had a cute Parisian window display of ballerinas in tutus and everything! How divine!
After shopping, I made my way to the Opéra Garnier, which was utterly spectacular. Just the exterior alone is enough to make you swoon – those ornate sculptures and golden accents, it's like something out of a fairytale. You really feel like you’ve been transported back in time to the golden age of ballet!
A Pink Tutu Night Out
Of course, no visit to Paris would be complete without a trip to see a ballet show, so later that evening, I joined a friend for a breathtaking performance at the Théâtre du Châtelet. The programme was a masterpiece by Maurice Ravel - Boléro, with a modern choreography - it was mesmerizing and beautiful. As always, I made sure to take lots of photos of my evening – in my sparkly pink tutu of course – what else?!
Pink Tutu Power – Inspiring the World
Each trip inspires me to live a little bit more pink, a little bit more tutus, a little more joyful and carefree! Paris is definitely doing its part – with its beauty, elegance, and enchanting atmosphere. And let’s be honest, a pink tutu never hurts! The best part of all, is sharing these amazing moments with you, my wonderful readers!
