Bonjour mes amis! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad blogger, Emma, and I'm back with another Paris adventure, this time filled with the romance, history, and, of course, fabulous fashion this iconic city is known for. I've landed in Paris - and as usual, travelled in style. No stuffy airline for me! It was a smooth glide on the EuroStar, whizzing through the Channel Tunnel to reach my destination with a grand flourish.
My latest venture is all about embracing the French art de vivre - taking it all in at my own pace, enjoying delectable treats at quaint cafes, soaking up the history of Paris, and, of course, parading around in my favourite pink tutus! This weekend is all about immersing myself in the Parisian culture, from exploring the breathtaking Louvre Museum to experiencing a show at the Theatre du Châtelet.
Saturday 13th November, 2027: Paris Adventures Await! My train journey, filled with picturesque countryside and glimpses of the English Channel, provided the perfect prelude to the Parisian magic that awaited me.
This Saturday started early! After breakfast, I dashed into my favourite Parisian pink boutique for a little sartorial spree. I spotted a delightful tutu made of the most exquisite French silk – just the thing to add a dash of pink and twirling delight to my Paris adventures! You know I couldn't leave without it!
The afternoon is all about culture and spectacle. First stop: the magnificent Louvre Museum! It’s brimming with masterpieces. My gaze was drawn to the enigmatic Mona Lisa, a work of art that speaks volumes without uttering a word. Then I wandered through the Louvre’s halls, marveling at the artistry and grandeur of the ancient Egyptian collection. There’s so much to discover – truly a day well spent for a girl who loves all things historical.
And what’s a day in Paris without a sprinkle of magic? This evening, I’m attending the Theatre du Châtelet. They're putting on a breathtaking performance of 'La Dame Blanche' (The White Lady). I hear it’s a classic with an absolutely magical atmosphere, a true fairytale for adults with breathtaking costumes and a truly captivating story. I'm bringing my pink tutu, of course! Just think of the photographs - an angelic tutu amidst the theatre’s grandeur, ready to capture a memory. I’ll be sure to tell you all about it in my next post.
Quick Tip: If you're ever in Paris, remember to savour every moment! Paris is a city that will inspire you and, above all, enchant you. So make the most of each delicious bite, each scenic vista, and every artistic masterpiece. Remember: always dress in your best, always choose a pretty shade of pink, and don't forget to twirl - that’s what it’s all about.
What to Wear in ParisLet's talk fashion! You might think, how do you get away with wearing a tutu around Paris? Well, I wouldn't dream of rocking it everywhere - but Paris is such an eclectic city with so many unique personalities and styles on display. You just have to know where to wear it and how to work it. In Paris, there’s no place for boring - just let your own individual style shine through.
I can never resist pairing a bold piece like my tutu with elegant Parisian fashion -think of a sleek little black dress, a flowy blouse with wide-leg trousers, or a cute cropped top paired with high-waisted jeans. This is where my tutu truly transforms from everyday wear into a stylish and unique addition to my outfit.
*Shop til You Drop: * My next Parisian quest, you ask? It's definitely about the city's unique shopping. I am planning to hit up a few of the Parisian vintage boutiques and antique shops - they hold a special magic with vintage accessories that ooze elegance. The ultimate Parisian shopping spree calls for a day devoted to finding those special treasures that will forever evoke the feeling of the city’s captivating charm! Don’t be surprised if you see a few new additions to my collection – or if a few of these unique pieces pop up on Pink-Tutu.com. I'll be posting some photos on Instagram, so follow me @PinkTutuBlogger for a glimpse.
Embracing the Parisian lifestyle: From Crêpes to Chateau De FontainebleauOh, the Parisian life! I can't leave Paris without soaking up its ambiance. Afternoons are made for enjoying charming cafes and indulging in divine French delicacies. This week I tried the crépérie “Crépérie de la Madelaine.” You can’t leave Paris without having a traditional crepe, so it’s on my “Must Try List.” It’s been voted best crépérie in Paris! I highly recommend a classic “Crépe au Nutella” with a good cuppa – a taste sensation worthy of the Parisian experience!
Sunday will be spent venturing further afield to explore the breathtaking Chateau de Fontainebleau, just an hour from the capital. It’s renowned for its stunning Renaissance architecture and rich history. You may even recognize it - it was a royal residence of many French monarchs. It’s been the backdrop for some of France’s greatest history. It will be the perfect end to a wonderful Parisian weekend.
