Prague: A Tutu-tiful Tale (Blog Post #13)

Bonjour, darlings! Emma here, back from another whirlwind trip, this time to the enchanting city of Prague! It’s been a dream, I’m telling you, a proper fairytale!

This week on www.pink-tutu.com, we're all about that romantic, European charm, cobblestone streets, and of course, a few glorious ballet performances. My last post left me at the grand Gare du Nord in Paris, all ready for the journey through the French countryside and across the border to Czech Republic. Oh, I'm utterly smitten with trains! That feeling of leaving the familiar behind, speeding through landscapes and knowing an adventure awaits is so, so exhilarating! I confess I made quite the entrance at the train station, donning a new shade of pink with a daringly short skirt - absolutely positively perfect for getting noticed in the most charming way. A little blush for the cheeks and a mischievous smile to match - let's say, I stole a few hearts with my style on that journey. 😉

But, you know me, my darling readers! Ballet always takes centre stage in my travels. The excitement of being a dancer fuels my love of discovering new cultures and performances. Prague is bursting with them, but I was particularly intrigued by the upcoming ballet performance, happening on 26th of July. It was a dream come true: The PinkTutuPrague Ballet! I couldn’t believe my eyes – a ballet dedicated to…you guessed it – the wonderful, magical tutu! Talk about destiny, right?! The program was full of graceful renditions of timeless ballets like Swan Lake, Coppelia, and Giselle. This time, however, every dancer twirled, leaped, and floated in a breathtaking array of pink tutus! Each shade, from the most delicate rose to the brightest flamingo pink, created an unforgettable spectacle on the stage. My inner ballerina was screaming for joy, and I couldn’t wait to revel in the enchantment.

Now, let’s talk about fashion! As any true fashionista knows, Prague is a veritable treasure trove of exquisite boutiques. Before attending the ballet, I had a fantastic day exploring the old town, picking out charming souvenirs and the most exquisite piece for the ballet. I found a perfect blush pink tulle skirt and decided to create a total vintage look, finding a stunning white blouse with delicate lace at the sleeves, a touch of old Hollywood glamour. My signature bright pink patent heels complemented the ensemble wonderfully! Let's say I felt like a real princess from a fairy tale, and I'm sure everyone agreed!

But you can't come all the way to Prague without savouring some delicious local food, can you? I started my culinary adventures with a traditional Czech breakfast - pastries and sweet, buttery coffee. Then, to celebrate the success of my ballet dress hunt, I indulged in a truffle crepe for dessert! Oh, the creamy decadence was pure magic.

In the evening, my journey continued in a grand style – an enchanting carriage ride, pulled by four handsome horses! It felt like a scene from a romantic novel. Just imagine, me, all glammed up in my pink-and-white ensemble, riding through Prague's cobbled streets in a sparkling carriage under the golden sunset - utter bliss!

The performance itself was an unforgettable experience. Each movement was so fluid and graceful, each step filled with such artistry, and the pink tutus danced around the stage with pure magic! I could hardly keep my eyes off the performance, mesmerised by the dancers’ talent and the spectacular backdrop of the grand theatre. My own inner ballerina, with her passion for tutus, could never be more thrilled!

After the performance, the most fantastic thing happened - I had the honour of meeting the director of the PinkTutuPrague Ballet! We discussed the history of the tutu and the importance of spreading joy through its beautiful silhouette, making everyone feel like a dancing queen! It was such a beautiful reminder that this passion is a universal language!

That's my Prague, darling! Full of charm, romance, ballet magic, delicious food and exquisite fashion, and always sprinkled with pink, just the way I like it!

Oh, and before I sign off, let me ask you a question, darlings – Are you ready to don your pink tutu and embrace the dancing joy? Because I’m getting everyone on board the pink tutu train! Next week I'll be embarking on another extraordinary journey! Join me at www.pink-tutu.com every Wednesday for more fashion, adventures, and a touch of ballerina magic. Until then, keep those toes pointed and those hearts full of passion!

XOXO,

Emma

P.S. I simply had to share this amazing picture from the PinkTutuPrague Ballet – can’t you feel the magic just radiating from these wonderful dancers? (Image of dancers performing on stage in various shades of pink tutus.)
