Prague: Where Ballerinas Dream in Pink! 🩰✨

Hello my gorgeous girlies!

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another fabulously fabulous Pink Tutu Blog post! And this week, we're taking a little trip to Prague, the city of bridges, cobblestones and… tutus? Well, maybe not exactly, but it's the kind of city that screams "ballerina dream"!

This is post number 31 in my Prague adventure, and honestly, I'm already counting down the days until I get to explore this charming city some more. Remember, I fund my travels by performing - dancing is my ticket to the world! - so my blog is like my travel diary, capturing every pretty detail and inspiring all of you to follow your dreams, whether it be becoming a prima ballerina, a travel blogger, or even, dare I say it... wearing pink tutus?! (I'm still campaigning!)

Prague: Where Past & Present Intertwine

Let's talk about the atmosphere, shall we? Prague is a city where history and charm swirl together like a graceful pirouette. Every cobbled street feels like a story waiting to be told. We're talking medieval architecture, grand churches with towering spires, and an enchanting air of mystery that keeps me entranced. Imagine my delight, walking through the Old Town Square, the iconic astronomical clock ticking away the seconds like a dancer counting out her steps. It's the perfect place for a ballerina to get inspired, wouldn't you agree?

My Fashion Journey through Prague's Past

Oh, the clothes! The colours! The city of Prague itself is like a giant, enchanting costume, filled with colours and textures that inspire me endlessly. And, of course, being the fashion-forward ballerina that I am, I can't resist indulging in a spot of vintage shopping. I snagged a beautiful vintage scarf, a little something blue to complement my pink tulle, you see. Imagine: a ballerina's Parisian romance, brought to life in the heart of Prague!

An Evening of Dance & Delight

Speaking of ballerinas, did you know that Prague has an absolutely stellar ballet scene? I was lucky enough to catch a performance of "Swan Lake" at the National Theatre, the building itself a stunning testament to the beauty of architecture. Seeing those delicate ballerinas floating across the stage, their tutus shimmering like celestial bodies... it was an experience that left me truly speechless.

But it wasn't just the performance itself. It was the energy of the crowd, their quiet anticipation building until the very first notes of Tchaikovsky's iconic score filled the air. I was swept away by the sheer elegance of it all, as though the whole city itself was taking a graceful bow to the magic of dance.

From the Stage to the Streets: Prague's Ballerina Heart

You know what? This city's spirit, the romance of its old world charm, and the captivating architecture really reminded me of a tutu! Both are filled with layers of elegance, drama and delicate beauty, waiting to be revealed. Even the way the cobbled streets are arranged reminds me of a stage, waiting for a ballerina to perform upon. And who needs a stage when you have an entire city at your fingertips?

And you know what? That's exactly how I see it: the entire city, its narrow cobblestone lanes and magnificent plazas, are all part of my performance, part of my personal expression! You could say that the very essence of this city is flowing through my veins, a constant inspiration for the pink tutu wearing, ballet-loving Emma that you all know and adore!

On My Pink-Tutu Trail: Finding Prague's Soul

Of course, what's a pink tutu blogger without a pink tutu to go with it, right? It's just the finishing touch. In fact, I discovered this beautiful little vintage boutique nestled in one of the city's many enchanting alleys. It had the most fabulous selection of pink tutus – it was like a tutu paradise!

My latest purchase: a gloriously frilly pink tutu in the most delicious shade of bubblegum pink! (Trust me, I know pink, it's practically my middle name). It was like walking into a cloud of pink tulle, an absolute dream for a ballerina like me! I’ve got plans to wear this beauty when I explore the Charles Bridge this afternoon - talk about a picture-perfect moment!

A Little Piece of Derbyshire in Prague

You know what else makes me happy? My dear mother has been sending me the most lovely pink post cards. She’s absolutely mad about the fact that I’ve been posting so much from all around the world – and my Dad is secretly rather proud too. In fact, this whole adventure has really brought us closer. Just imagine a picture of pink tutus in the background – maybe it will inspire them to visit me here one day, maybe wear a pink tutu together? That’d be the dream!
