Prague: A Pink Tutu Paradise (Post #32)

Darling readers!

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another installment of my Pink Tutu Travels. Today, we're stepping out of Derbyshire and into the magical city of Prague, the city of a hundred spires, golden domes, and a whole lot of pink tutu potential!

Remember my little chat about ballet history a few posts back? Well, Prague, dear friends, has been dancing since the 14th century! You can even catch a performance of the original "Giselle" here, straight from 1841. Can you believe it? Centuries of twirling! It practically begs you to break out the pink tutu, don't you think?

Now, I arrived in Prague just yesterday, after a charmingly bumpy train journey across the continent. A girl's got to travel in style, so naturally, my tutu adorned my luggage, adding a touch of pink elegance to the entire carriage. And speaking of style, Prague itself is like a feast for the eyes! cobblestone streets, ornate architecture, and a charming old-world vibe that screams "Ballet!" from every corner.

This trip wouldn't be complete without a spot of shopping, naturally. Prague is a fashionista's dream. The boutiques here offer a plethora of treasures: delicate silk scarves, bohemian blouses, and enough sparkly earrings to make your heart skip a beat. And while I was indulging in a little retail therapy, I just couldn't resist a few new tutu additions, darling. A light-as-a-feather pink tulle masterpiece for my performances tonight! After all, Prague is a city built for twirling.

Tonight's performance is the big highlight, though. I'm about to perform at the historic National Theatre. Imagine the grandeur! Imagine the atmosphere! The audience here is absolutely wild about ballet, so I'm ready to bring the pink tutu magic and set the stage ablaze with my performance. (Don't forget to tune into my Instagram stories later for all the behind-the-scenes shenanigans, darling! 😉)

But first, I have a confession to make. Prague has, shall we say, captivated my heart! I find myself already planning a return visit, possibly with my mother. Imagine us strolling through the ancient city squares, sipping coffee, and of course, donning matching pink tutus! Perhaps we'll even catch a local performance in a charming little theatre tucked away in a forgotten corner.

You see, the beauty of ballet is that it transcends boundaries, bridging continents and connecting hearts. And right now, with the cobblestones of Prague beneath my feet and the spirit of pink tutu passion burning within me, I can't help but feel utterly, gloriously… happy!

Before I go, dear readers, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Have you ever travelled to Prague? What are your favorite ballet performances? Share your pink tutu dreams below, and let's spread a little bit of that joy around the world!

Until next week,

Emma

Day 2 in Prague: The Dance of Prague

Dearest friends!

I'm still buzzing from yesterday's performance! The National Theatre, darling, the National Theatre! Imagine, performing "La Sylphide" beneath its ornate ceiling! The crowd was captivated, and the applause was practically deafening. I even spotted a gentleman wearing a pink bow tie, a tiny glimpse of hope for the world's tutu revolution!

This morning, I woke to the gentle rhythm of Prague life - a street musician's melody echoing through the streets, the scent of fresh bread drifting from a nearby bakery, and the bustling energy of locals preparing for their day.

But Prague isn't just about charming streets and incredible performances, my darlings! It's also about experiencing the city through its soul, through its heart, and through its... dance floors? 😉

Let's face it, any day is a good day for a little twirl, and today, my adventurous spirit was craving something a little more, shall we say... unconventional! I'm talking, of course, about a charming little ballet school tucked away in the heart of Prague, hidden amongst narrow streets and ancient walls.

There, under the watchful gaze of a seasoned ballet mistress (whose pink cardigan I just had to compliment, of course), I discovered a class full of spirited, tutu-wearing, enthusiastic souls, eager to dance, learn, and, most importantly, to unleash the inner grace that we all carry within!

Oh, the pure joy! The music, the energy, the graceful movements - the ballet class in Prague felt like stepping into a time capsule, where time stood still and the only thing that mattered was the freedom of expression. I even managed to catch a glimpse of my reflection in a vintage mirror, and let me tell you, with that pink tutu and the sweat beading on my brow, I looked every bit the picture of elegant determination!

The hour flew by in a blur of pirouettes and pliés. I found myself stepping out of the class with a new appreciation for the history of ballet, the importance of tradition, and, perhaps most importantly, the enduring power of a good pink tutu!

For dinner tonight, I stumbled upon the most exquisite little café, nestled in the heart of the Old Town Square. A haven of warm candlelight, delectable smells, and… you guessed it! A pink velvet chaise longue, oh so perfect for sipping coffee and contemplating the day's dance moves.

Prague is simply enchanting. With its rich history, vibrant culture, and an atmosphere of pure, unadulterated charm, it's easy to see why this city is a favourite amongst both artists and tourists alike.

To my dear readers, are you yearning for an adventure of your own? Perhaps you're craving a trip to Prague? A ballet class in a hidden studio? Or simply, the pure joy of a pink tutu twirl? Don't hesitate, my dears. Go! Embrace the adventure, embrace the passion, and most importantly, embrace your own personal brand of pink tutu magic!

Until next week,

Emma
