Pink Tutu Prague: Ballet Dreams and Bohemian Chic - Blog Post #44

Hello my lovely tutu-twirling friends!

It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu enthusiast, back from the heart of Europe - the magnificent city of Prague! This week, I'm bringing you all the enchanting delights, hidden treasures, and of course, tutu-licious moments that have made my Prague adventure so magical. Buckle up, buttercups, because it's time to hop aboard the Pink Tutu Express for a journey full of wonder!

As you know, I always believe in arriving at my destinations in style. This time, however, things took a slightly different turn. Remember the adorable Shetland pony I met during my travels in Scotland? Well, she's joined my little pink tutu travelling troupe! Her name is Daisy, and she's become my trusted travel companion, much to the delight of the people who see us trotting through the streets of Prague. Honestly, there's nothing like a splash of pink and a gentle prance to bring a smile to everyone's face.

Prague - A Fairytale Come True

Prague has exceeded all my expectations. Think cobblestone streets, majestic castles perched on hilltops, charming squares adorned with baroque architecture, and oh, the river Vltava glistening under the sunshine โ€“ simply breathtaking! The city truly feels like it's been plucked from the pages of a fairy tale book. And what better way to embrace the magic than with a vibrant pink tutu, naturally?

My trip has been jam-packed with activities, so let me give you a little glimpse of what my days have been like here:

The Beauty of Ballet

Every good adventure for a ballerina starts with a graceful twirl! Iโ€™ve spent countless hours at the beautiful National Theatre in Prague. The historic grandeur of the building itself, the awe-inspiring art, the passionate actors, and the incredible performances โ€“ simply sensational! It's hard to describe the feeling when you are watching a ballet here, feeling the energy of the audience and being swept away by the story.

The National Theatre puts on a diverse programme, and last night I had the absolute pleasure of watching Tchaikovsky's โ€œSwan Lakeโ€. You all know how much I adore this classic, but seeing it in Prague was something else! The setting was like something straight out of a fairytale, the dancers' skill was exceptional, and the costumes were absolutely gorgeous! You really couldn't ask for more!

Discovering Pink Tutu Heaven

Naturally, I haven't only been admiring the art here! Prague is a shopping paradise, with so many quaint boutiques and hidden treasure troves. One of my first stops had to be the charming shops on Old Town Square. I found an amazing, one-of-a-kind hand-beaded bag โ€“ totally pink, naturally, and perfect for adding a touch of magic to any outfit. There are also lots of gorgeous antique shops here in Prague. I discovered the most incredible vintage lace, perfect for adorning my tutus! And, of course, no trip is complete without checking out the local fabric stores. You could lose yourself in a sea of exquisite materials and colourful silks in this city.

Prague By Pony

Remember Daisy, my four-legged friend? Well, exploring Prague on horseback (ponyback? whatever you call it!) has been so much fun. I felt like I was transported to a storybook land as I galloped (or trotted very gently in Daisy's case!) through the city's narrow, winding streets, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of this enchanting place.

History with a Side of Pastry

Being an enthusiast for all things related to tutus, I've taken every opportunity to delve into the rich history of fashion in Prague. From medieval costumes to Bohemian elegance, the city is brimming with fascinating stories and creative traditions. I even discovered a lovely museum dedicated to the history of fashion, with exquisite gowns from throughout the centuries - a ballerina's dream come true! Of course, my day wouldn't be complete without a pit stop at a charming cafe for some delicious, fluffy Czech pastry. Honestly, there's nothing more satisfying after a day of sightseeing than a cup of tea and a delectable treat โ€“ or two!

Finding My Tutu Twin

Prague is a city of beauty and vibrant culture. And guess what? I even stumbled upon someone who shared my love of pink tutus! While strolling through a park, I spotted a young woman with a fluffy, pale pink tutu! Of course, I couldn't help but approach her, and before I knew it, we were discussing everything tutu! Turns out, she is a budding ballerina and shares my passion for spreading tutu joy to the world. This made me so happy! The beauty of wearing a tutu is its power to create connections. It brings people together, reminding them of the joy of dance, the beauty of dreams, and the magic that lies within each of us. Maybe this is a little embarrassing to confess but my life ambition, dear tutu lovers, is for everyone on the planet to own and wear a pink tutu. I just know it's something that could bring so much positivity into the world. I believe in the transformative power of pink tutus. I truly believe that it is the one garment that makes everyone look and feel beautiful and fabulous!

My Prague Wishlist: Things To Do Before I Leave:

I've had a fabulous time here, and I've barely even scratched the surface of what Prague has to offer! Here are some more things I am looking forward to before my journey ends:

  • Exploring the enchanting Charles Bridge - I hear the sunsets there are magical, and it's always good to see a bridge!
  • Delving into the depths of Prague Castle โ€“ History and romance are calling me!
  • Indulging in traditional Czech food โ€“ Hearty stews, savory dumplings, and rich beer โ€“ a gourmand's delight!

I will be sure to keep you updated with my experiences in the days ahead! And if you ever find yourself in this delightful city, donโ€™t forget to channel your inner tutu fairy.

Remember to check out www.pink-tutu.com every Wednesday for more fashion fun, ballet inspiration, and a splash of pink!

Stay beautiful and twirl your hearts out,

Emma x
