It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Prague post! This week, I'm whisking you all away to a magical city that's truly stolen my heart: Prague! This beautiful place has it all, from cobblestone streets and medieval architecture to bustling markets and enchanting ballet performances.
I arrived last week after a wonderfully scenic train journey from Derbyshire, which I think we can all agree is the most delightful way to travel! It really gives you a chance to sit back, relax, and soak in the beauty of the world whizzing by outside your window.
This week has been absolutely whirlwind, and I'm absolutely overflowing with things to tell you! From discovering charming boutiques overflowing with stylish hats to sampling the most delectable Bohemian pastries, I'm sharing it all with you.
But first, let's talk about the thing I love most – ballet! 😍
The National Theatre - A Dream Come True
As I mentioned last week, the main reason for my trip to Prague was the incredible ballet season at the National Theatre. It's a truly awe-inspiring venue, built in the 19th century, and steeped in history.
You wouldn't believe the gorgeous chandeliers they have, it was like stepping into a fairytale! But it was even better than I imagined, you see on Tuesday night I saw "The Nutcracker," which I'm absolutely besotted with, as you all know. But it was the the Prague National Ballet's version, and oh my goodness it was exquisite!
The choreography was spectacular, the dancers so graceful and effortless, it felt like I was watching a dream come true! Even the costumes were absolutely fabulous – I'm hoping I can find something similar for my next performance back in Derbyshire, because I have a feeling these pink, sparkling tutu dresses are exactly what my wardrobe needs!
Prague by Day
Now, onto some other things I've been getting up to this week in Prague! First of all, I simply have to share the delicious cinnamon pastries I found tucked away in a quaint little bakery called "Medvídek" – a delightful place with an equally adorable teddy bear mascot! The cinnamon swirl in the pastry was simply divine, it reminded me of my Granny’s delicious recipe for "The Pink Princess Bun" . That reminds me, I better make sure Granny knows how much I love the new pink-tutu collection from “The Tutu Shoppe" . I sent her the link last week, I must send her some more inspiration photos!
My darling, I am simply obsessed with Prague's fairytale-like beauty! The stunning Prague Castle, overlooking the city, just took my breath away. Honestly, you can just feel the history seeped into the cobbled streets and Gothic spires! I simply couldn’t resist a few lovely photographs of the magical view with a pink-tutu as my backdrop.
But Prague's magic extends far beyond the history! I stumbled upon a gorgeous street market this morning, overflowing with local crafts, trinkets and handcrafted jewellery. You simply couldn’t go without a little indulgence for your lovely self!
Oh, I forgot to tell you! On Friday, we have tickets for an amazing show in the magical Old Town Square, "The Magical Prague Lantern Parade", so I am off to browse some new tutu outfit ideas for the occasion - we wouldn’t want to be without a gorgeous pink number!

Every week, I strive to encourage people everywhere to wear a pink tutu, because a pink tutu, as you know, is the best thing since sliced bread, the perfect piece for adding a dash of joy to everyday life, whether it be going for a walk in the park, visiting a museum or dancing under the stars.

And now for this week’s "Pink-tutu of the week": It's hard to pick a favourite! I absolutely love this ballerina dancer in Prague who wore the most magnificent pink tulle skirt, layered with ruffles and pink tulle feathers. Just the image makes me want to run out and find some feathers for my collection. It was such a show-stopper and the ultimate in pink-tutu fabulousness. Prague truly has a special place in my heart! There's just a magic here, in the streets, the sights and most definitely in the pink tutu vibe! I'll be spending one more week in this city of dreams before I make my way back home, but rest assured, you can expect more fabulous stories - and even more pink tutu delights!
