Prague's Pretty Pink Dreams - Blog Post 181

Hello darlings!

It’s Wednesday again, and you know what that means… It’s time for a brand new Prague blog post! Can you believe it’s been a whole week since I was last here, writing to you from this magical city? Well, my darling readers, let me tell you, the week has flown by! It seems like I’ve been a whirling dervish of tutu-tastic adventures since last time.

Whizzing Through The Czech Republic on My Pink Pony

My journey to Prague this time was truly special! I started with a lovely train ride through the Derbyshire countryside. It's just a joy watching the scenery blur past. And then, when we got to London, guess what I did? I hired a little white pony to take me to the Eurostar station! Yes, really, a little white pony with a pink tutu – it really made the entire train station go quiet when we strutted through. They were all gaping in admiration!

Once I got to Prague, well, darling, that’s where the real fun began!

Stepping Into Prague's Storybook Streets

Prague! The city of dreams! My love affair with this magical metropolis just keeps getting stronger with every visit. This city whispers tales of princesses, grand palaces and enchanting castles, and it truly feels like a fairy tale brought to life! You'll forgive me if I go a bit mushy on you - but this city just sets my heart aflame! The cobbled streets, the Gothic towers that reach up to the sky, the colourful buildings – it’s enough to make any little ballerina's head spin!

Speaking of twirling, Prague's Old Town Square has just got to be one of the most beautiful squares in the entire world! It’s filled with a dazzling blend of medieval architecture and modern vibrancy. Imagine my delight when I found a street performer with a gorgeous pastel pink tutu dancing in the middle of the square, completely captivating everyone around him. His performance was mesmerising, his every step perfectly aligned with the majestic beauty of the square itself. You bet I snapped some pics for my Instagram - it just looked like something out of a fairytale. It even inspired a spontaneous twirl or two from me – there's just something about Prague that sets your inner ballerina free!

Tutus & Tea & Taking It All In

The thing is, darling, the whole city feels a little bit like a stage! It’s overflowing with opportunities for performances. There are singers and dancers in the parks, in the squares, around every corner - Prague is a celebration of artistry in all its forms! That’s probably why I decided to stop for tea and pastries at a little café tucked away down a cobblestone alleyway. With its velvet armchairs, antique clock ticking on the wall, and beautiful teacups (naturally I had one in my favourite shade of pink), I felt like I was in my own little ballet performance! I even found time for some shopping in the local vintage stores. You can't leave Prague without finding some charming, whimsical little trinkets to take back with you. The other night I actually scored this fabulous velvet hair bow with delicate pink ribbons – it’s perfect for twirling and accessorising with any tutu I happen to have on hand.

Ballet Extravaganza: The Pink Tutu Meets Prague's History

And speaking of ballerinas, you know I wouldn't travel all the way to Prague without immersing myself in the world of ballet! My biggest thrill was finding a performance of "Swan Lake" at the beautiful National Theatre. It’s an incredible building - I just love the gorgeous architecture, and I can just imagine the stories of the great ballerinas of the past swirling through its halls. I’ve been so enthralled with the history of Prague – from its castle walls to its dancing streets – it’s easy to lose yourself in this beautiful city.

And when I lose myself in the history, it doesn’t take long to bring myself back to tutus! I absolutely loved my “Swan Lake” performance. I always get inspired to do more dance, seeing such fantastic performers - and to add my own twist of pink tutu glamour to the mix. This weekend, I'm actually considering a visit to a local dance school to see how their classes are – perhaps some of my pink tutus would go down a treat there!

Prague's Sweet Treats and Secret Discoveries

You'd think I'd have already explored everything Prague has to offer, wouldn't you? But every corner reveals another delightful secret. The Czech Republic is well known for its fabulous cakes - I do love me some Czech pastries! So naturally, I just had to try the famous trdelník (or 'trdlo' as they call it here). These little tubes of baked dough covered in sugar and cinnamon - pure heaven! The warmth, the smell of sugar… it all transports you back to that little kid in a pink tutu who wants to twirl and dance all day long! I don’t think there’s a bad place to grab a ‘trdlo’ in Prague! Just be sure to watch for pink tutu dancers - it's like a game of spot-the-tutu when you’re walking around here.

Pink Tutu Plans For The Week Ahead

I’m staying a little bit longer this time - I feel like my pink tutu and I could wander these enchanting streets forever! Prague seems to have this magical effect on me. Maybe that’s the ‘trdlo’ working its charm? I’m not entirely sure but it feels incredible! Anyway, before I depart this magical land of stories, I want to explore Prague Castle properly. They have such a rich and fascinating history. And what’s better than a castle filled with history? A castle filled with history where I can find a pink tutu photo opportunity, of course!

I will definitely be returning here for more explorations - and hopefully more dancing! And you know what I always say? A little bit of pink tutu magic goes a long way. Just ask any local in Prague! And remember, darling, every week there's a brand new adventure waiting for you right here on pink-tutu.com, where we celebrate life, laughter and… you guessed it, Pink Tutus!

Until next time, my dears!
XOXO, Emma xx

PS: Check back next Wednesday for more exciting Prague tales - and of course, an all-new pink tutu look!
