Post #209: Prague's Pink Ballet Dream 🌸🩰🇨🇿

Hello lovelies! 💖 It's Emma, your tutu-loving travel blogger, writing to you from the magical city of Prague! I know what you're thinking – Prague? Really? Isn't that a bit…well, dark for someone who loves pink tutus? 😉 But trust me, darling, this city has a whole lot of fairytale charm hidden beneath its cobbled streets, and there's enough pink, pretty, and utterly fabulous here to satisfy even the most enthusiastic tutu enthusiast!

This week, I decided to embark on a journey worthy of my very own ballet performance – a grand train ride across the heart of Europe, bringing me straight to Prague’s historic heart. It was a proper adventure, filled with delightful French croissants, stolen glances at charming locals, and enough captivating views to make my heart leap a little every time the train snaked past a verdant field. I just love the anticipation of the unknown, the romance of traveling by train – and, of course, the perfect excuse to wear my most delightful pink polka-dot dress!

Once in Prague, I settled into a delightful little hotel with a courtyard garden so quaint and charming, you could practically imagine tiny fairy ballet performances happening within the shade of the rambling roses. My first order of business was, naturally, to explore! Prague’s Old Town Square is just delightful, and a truly picture postcard-worthy sight – the clock tower, the dancing figures, and even the pigeons had a certain grace about them!

My second order of business? 🛍️ Shopping, of course! Prague is an absolute dream for any fashion enthusiast. It's overflowing with exquisite vintage shops tucked away in the charming backstreets. My new pink floral hat is an absolute gem I picked up at a sweet little shop near the Charles Bridge. And the best part is? I’ve found the most stunningly delicate ballet slippers – imagine, soft pink satin with beautiful little satin ribbons to tie. Just perfect for a light twirl or a pirouette on Prague's cobbled streets. 💖

Speaking of dancing… I had to squeeze in a proper ballet performance while I was here, didn't I? Now, Prague may not be the first city that springs to mind for world-class ballet, but I found a hidden gem – a lovely little theatre showcasing a show called Sleeping Beauty. I could hardly contain myself! The costumes were breathtaking (lots of pink, naturally!) and the dancers were phenomenal, with such grace and elegance. The entire performance was a pure escape from reality - for two hours I felt like I'd stepped into a fairytale and I came out of that theater buzzing with delight and a little twirl in my step!

On the subject of delightful dance experiences, you must know about this little tradition I have. Every Wednesday, after I finish my blog, I head out to the ballet studio near my hotel, slip into a pale pink tutu, and spend an hour losing myself in the grace of the ballet. It’s a little ritual of mine to embrace my love for the art form. Prague is filled with amazing studios, and the energy here is electric! There's so much history and culture swirling around – it truly inspires.

Of course, I couldn't possibly end this Prague adventure without mentioning the food, now could I? Every meal has been a delicious, and frankly rather romantic, affair. One evening I even had a picnic lunch on the steps of Prague Castle – a perfectly lovely day, complete with delicate pastries and even a little glass of rosé wine! 🍷🌸

Oh, and my trip wouldn't have been complete without my little escapade with ponies. I know it may sound a bit unconventional, but I found a charming little stables nestled amongst the Prague hills, and for a little afternoon I found myself trotting through the meadows, the sun warm on my skin and the soft hooves of my gentle pony rhythmically padding on the soft earth. I admit I was thinking how fitting this experience would be for the PinkTutuPrague blog! 😊

Prague, oh Prague… you have my heart. I think I have found another pink tutu haven – and not just because of the charming little shops overflowing with beautiful floral tutus! I think it’s because the spirit of this city – with all its beauty, history, and hidden treasures – simply embraces creativity, joy, and adventure just like the pink tutu does.

Now I have to share the experience, of course! So until next time, darlings… be sure to check back next Wednesday for my next pink tutu blog post - maybe I'll have even more pink discoveries to share then! 😉

💖 Love, Emma 💖
