Prague Dreams in Pink: Post 257 🩰💕

Hello my darlings, and welcome to another week of adventures on www.pink-tutu.com! I'm writing to you from the enchanting city of Prague, a city practically designed for a pink-tutu clad ballerina like myself! This week's blog post is bursting with Parisian charm, elegant history, and enough tutus to fill a whole theatre - a little glimpse into the delightful trip that I've been having here!

As you know, I'm a huge believer that travelling should be an experience, not just a checklist of sights. So this week, I'm taking a step back from the typical tourist trails and delving deeper into the soul of Prague. What better way to do that than through its ballet scene?

Let's be honest, Prague is pretty magical as it is, with its stunning architecture and cobbled streets, but watching ballet in such a beautiful city? It was a truly special experience that left me feeling like a princess in a fairy tale.

This past Wednesday, I popped into the magical National Theatre to see The Sleeping Beauty - oh my goodness! Such grace, such drama, such beauty! You could literally feel the fairytale magic in the air. Every twirl and leap just seemed to float through the grand hall. It's a show that makes you fall head over heels in love with ballet all over again, wouldn't you agree?

The ballet itself wasn't the only highlight of the evening! Just imagine: arriving at the theatre and being greeted by an array of ladies wearing the most beautiful, eye-catching dresses, and you guessed it - tutus! I have to admit, I might have worn my favourite pink tutu for the occasion - a delicate chiffon creation, if I may say so myself. The blush of my tutu definitely stood out against the muted elegance of the other outfits! It really was a night to remember, the whole atmosphere felt so enchanting and exciting.

Now, on the subject of Prague itself… let me tell you, this city has such a special kind of charm! The buildings, oh my! From the medieval architecture to the charming pastel houses, each one seemed to whisper stories of emperors, artists, and maybe even a few fairies. It was like stepping back in time, but with a sprinkle of contemporary flair! And of course, there were shops… a ballet dancer's paradise, really! So many boutiques filled with gorgeous clothes, shoes, and accessories, and as a proud tutu wearer, I couldn’t resist bringing back a few lovely new pieces - you just wait until you see my latest purchase, a lovely pale pink sequined tutu that sparkles like the stars on a frosty night! I can't wait to show it off!

One thing I learned about Prague, something I find true in all places I visit, is that ballet is much more than a performance – it's an art form that transcends languages, cultures, and even centuries. The way these talented artists move their bodies, telling stories without words, is just breathtaking! The elegance, the strength, the passion – you can just feel the story, every single emotion in every gesture!

Speaking of elegance, I just can't get over the charm of the historic buildings, the cobbled streets, and all the adorable cafes. Everything seems to have a story, a piece of history to tell! And don't even get me started on the pastries, the local pastries - oh my goodness, every bite was a delight for my taste buds. A little secret: I think I might have purchased a new collection of pink pastry plates from a little vintage shop. You have to try a few bites when you're in the city! I’m quite certain you’ll adore them as much as I do.

And just so you know, I'm writing this from a charming cafe with a view over the famous Charles Bridge. It's one of the oldest bridges in Europe and I just feel that it was truly built for princesses wearing tutus and indulging in cakes! (At least that's how it feels today) You wouldn't believe how many pictures I've taken with the pink tulle from my tutu fluttering gently in the wind! It really does look like something out of a fairytale!

I think I mentioned how much I enjoy traveling by train and pony? Well, I found out there’s a unique mode of transport here in Prague. Apparently it's called a funicular railway. A cable car train up the side of a steep hill, rather exciting and totally unique, as there wasn't any available in my home in Derbyshire. I do enjoy travelling on ponies however, even more so in this enchanting place, with their cobbled streets, I’m going to look for a beautiful one tomorrow!

You know, one of the things I've truly come to appreciate on this trip is the connection between fashion, history, and ballet. Prague just feels like a place that embraces all of these things with open arms! You see tutus and other styles reflected everywhere. In the fashion stores, in the theatre, and even on the streets, especially at the many theatres around this charming town. Just the other day, I saw a group of girls all sporting lovely tutus as they strolled down the historic square, laughing and taking photos - such a beautiful sight to behold! That is the impact of the tutu, we all want to join in! And maybe that's the point isn't it? Sharing joy and creating memories. That's why I believe in spreading the pink tutu message to every corner of the globe - the world needs more tutus, more joy, more beauty.

Remember, darlings, you can find the inspiration for your own ballet adventure on my website www.pink-tutu.com, and you'll always be able to follow my journeys on Instagram and Twitter too.

Stay glamorous, stay curious, and don't forget, life is a ballet - enjoy every step!

Until next week, Emma 💋🌸✨
