Prague's Pretty Pink Promises: Ballet & Bohemia in the City of a Hundred Spires! (Blog Post #258)

Bonjour, darlings!

It's Wednesday, which means a brand new blog post from yours truly, Emma, and today we're skipping straight from Derbyshire to the beautiful, historic city of Prague! I've always dreamed of visiting this magical place, and let me tell you, it’s just as enchanting as I imagined – full of cobbled streets, stunning architecture, and the most charming little cafés tucked away in every corner.

Now, as you all know, a trip isn’t complete without a spot of ballet. This week’s performance took place in the National Theatre – a truly breathtaking building! The grandeur of it all had me spinning, and I knew this was going to be a special evening. As I pirouetted into the theatre, I was greeted by an absolute symphony of opulence. I can't even tell you how amazing it felt to be in this historical building, full of life and laughter, with such an incredible performance unfolding on stage. The energy was electric!

The Performance: A Ballet Dream Come True

Tonight’s show was truly something special. It was a masterpiece of classical ballet, every movement executed with precision and grace. The ballerinas, swirling in their exquisite tulle tutus, reminded me of delicate flowers dancing in the breeze. It was a delight to watch the power and beauty they effortlessly combined.

Now, a ballerina can’t live on just ballet alone, right? You see, I like to blend my love for ballet with some fun fashion, too. After the show, I indulged in a bit of shopping. You can never have too many pink tutus, darlings!

Tutu Twirls & Shopping Adventures

Prague is a dream for any fashionista! I’ve found some beautiful vintage shops with truly amazing treasures. I'm especially delighted to have snagged a vintage tutu for my collection, which I absolutely have to show you all. It's just perfect.

Travelling to Prague: My Pink Tutu Adventure

Now, you know how much I adore a good train journey, so I decided to travel by train to Prague. I couldn’t resist packing my pink tutu in my luggage. You never know when the opportunity to give someone a little pink tutu cheer might pop up! (Especially if you’re traveling through Europe by train! You get so many surprised smiles.) I think the little pink tutus I gift are such a happy way to spread joy - plus, the reaction is just pure delight!

I also couldn’t resist adding a touch of my signature pink to my suitcase, which turned heads wherever I went. I’ve realised that in a city like Prague, it’s even more special to stand out and be unapologetically you! The beauty here truly comes to life when you let yourself be immersed in the magical energy that’s present everywhere, whether it’s in a historic cathedral, on a cobbled street, or while sipping a cup of strong, aromatic Czech coffee in a quaint café.

From Cobblestones to Candy Coloured Delights

And speaking of delightful treats, Prague has such amazing sweet treats. Every café and corner shop is full of beautiful pastries, fresh cream cakes, and other delights. The Czech Republic is known for its lovely pastries. I indulged in an incredible apple strudel, and the flavours just transported me.

Prague has also blown me away with its historical sights. The Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square is incredible - it's fascinating to see it perform! This vibrant square, the heart of Prague, pulses with energy. From the stunning gothic spires of the Charles Bridge, the view over the Vltava river, the bustling Old Town, the fascinating Jewish Quarter with its history and stories, it truly has something for everyone. I must say I am smitten. It truly is a fairy tale setting, the city of a hundred spires as they call it, truly magical.

But don’t just take my word for it, darlings! Join me on my adventures through Prague as I bring you along with me on my Instagram (@PinkTutuEmma) stories! I’m planning a walk along the Charles Bridge, sharing views from the stunning Prague Castle, and of course, documenting all my sweet and savoury discoveries!

This little corner of the world feels very special, and I’m already looking forward to seeing what the rest of my adventure in Prague brings.

Don’t forget to pop over to the Pink Tutu website (www.pink-tutu.com) every Wednesday for a new blog post. Stay fabulous and remember, the world needs more pink tutus!

Lots of love,

Emma xx
