Pink Tutu Prague: A Dream Come True - #329

Hello my dearest tutu lovers!

It's Wednesday, and you know what that means! A fresh post from your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing travel blogger, Emma, straight from the heart of Prague. I'm currently nestled in my perfectly pink hotel room, just minutes away from the charming Old Town Square. The scent of fresh coffee and cinnamon rolls wafts in through the window, reminding me to treat myself to some delicious Czech pastries soon!

Before I dive into all the delights of Prague, let me rewind a bit. My journey here began in Derbyshire, England, where I bid farewell to the rolling green hills and quaint villages. I swapped the peaceful chirping of birds for the rhythmic clattering of a train - I am such a huge fan of trains - their luxurious comfort and mesmerising landscapes never fail to calm me. It's my ultimate mode of travel, so romantic! My final stop before arriving in Prague? Well, a majestic, strong white steed of course!

And here I am, in Prague, a city that has swept me off my feet! Every cobbled street and gothic church whispers tales of bygone eras, transporting me straight into a ballet storybook. There's just something utterly enchanting about the place - I imagine ballerinas leaping across the Charles Bridge, their tulle skirts swirling with the wind. Maybe they even have a pink tutu like mine, haha! It's a vision so romantic!

Pink in Prague

Now, you might be wondering about the pink tutu, of course! Well, my lovelies, this city seems made for pink! The vibrant buildings painted in pastel colours make every street a beautiful pastel dreamscape. And the pink blooms I’ve seen gracing the windows of cafes are divine - just picture them paired with my signature pink tutu - swoon!

My wardrobe has been given a serious makeover thanks to some fantastic Prague boutiques, packed with beautiful garments and accessories in pink, rose, and all the lovely pastel shades! The pink tulle in this city is just dreamy - perfect for swirling around and posing for a few whimsical selfies.

A Ballerina's Delight

Of course, no trip to Prague would be complete without immersing myself in its incredible ballet scene! And lucky for me, tonight is a particularly exciting night - the Czech National Ballet is performing at the National Theatre. I've been dying to see their production of "Swan Lake" for months! I'm convinced that "Swan Lake" has always been my favourite ballet - especially the 'Dying Swan' and the 'White Swan' variation.

Speaking of the 'Swan Lake,' there's something fascinating about the history of the ballet tutu, its transformation from a billowing, frilled number to the elegant, lightweight costume we see today. That history perfectly reflects the evolution of dance - it's all about grace, lightness and ethereal beauty! My personal preference, of course, is a lavish pink tutu. It embodies everything that's graceful and elegant, just like the ballerinas who wear it.

The Best Way to Experience Prague: By Foot & Pony

Prague is truly a city that you must experience on foot. Every nook and cranny, every hidden courtyard, every narrow passageway has something magical to offer. I'm finding it incredibly romantic. I even took a pony ride around the Old Town Square the other day - you simply have to experience this!

Just imagine: a sunny afternoon, a gentle breeze rustling the leaves, the rhythmic sound of the pony's hooves tapping against the cobblestones... then a stunning view of the city from the top of Petřín Hill! The most amazing part was seeing Prague from the perspective of a miniature steed!

Shopping in the City of Splendour

For all the shopaholics out there, Prague is a paradise! From luxurious designer boutiques to quirky independent stores, it’s a heaven for all things fashionable and sparkly. I've managed to snag some pretty fabulous items, from exquisite jewellery and dazzling pink ballet flats to stylish scarves and cute pink clutch bags that make a perfect little accent to a pink tutu, naturally!

I must share the discovery of a fantastic, little shop called 'Tulle and Twirl.' Imagine my delight when I stumbled upon this store filled with vintage and handmade tutus in all shades, but of course especially in a fabulous hot pink. Oh, you should've seen my joy, the tulle and twirl, my tutu heart soared! I did purchase a small and dainty number to wear on the train ride back home to Derbyshire - just imagine the delight of the gentlefolk on the train - 'Ooh, what a beautiful girl - such grace!' I can't help but smile as I visualize it!

From Ballerina to Blogger

You'll have to forgive my gushing, but I truly adore everything about Prague. It's a place where history whispers to you, where elegance shines around every corner, and where even the air seems to be sprinkled with pink glitter - oh yes! I have to admit, I find that very lovely!

For those of you who know my blog well, you know I love to travel, discover and most of all, spread the love for ballet and pink tutus. It's more than just fashion for me, it's a way of life - an expression of grace, beauty, and playful energy. The pink tutu allows me to be myself, to twirl freely, and to inspire others to do the same. The more people who embrace their inner ballerinas, the more vibrant and beautiful the world becomes, don't you agree?

Well, my tutu loving readers, it’s late here in Prague, and I should really get some rest. I have so many exciting activities planned for the next few days, including visiting the famous astronomical clock in the Old Town Square, exploring Prague Castle and getting lost in the magical charm of the Jewish Quarter.

Do stay tuned for my next post. I cannot wait to share more of Prague with you all. Until then, happy twirling, keep the pink flowing, and let your inner ballerina shine!
