Prague, Oh Prague! Ballet, Shopping & Pink TutĂșs – Post #339

Hello darlings! It’s Wednesday, and that means a brand new Pink Tutu Prague post is ready to twirl its way onto your screen! This week, I’m positively bubbling with excitement after a whirlwind adventure in the heart of Europe – Prague, a city so beautiful, it practically makes your tutu spin itself!

Now, I’ll admit, the journey wasn’t quite as glamorous as arriving in a horse-drawn carriage (though wouldn't that be absolutely divine?). I braved the good ol’ trusty train journey from Derbyshire, my trusty pink tutu, a couple of ballet novels for the journey and a whole suitcase of pink goodness, tucked safely by my side. Oh, the excitement of being crammed in a carriage alongside excited families on holiday! You wouldn’t believe the delightful whispers of “look at the pink tutu!” I felt like a real-life ballerina doll!

Speaking of dolls, the first thing that hit me when I arrived in Prague was its fairytale-like quality. Think cobbled streets, ancient clock towers, charming bridges, and oh-my-goodness, the architecture – stunning, just stunning! And what better way to truly immerse myself in the spirit of the city than a performance of the "Sleeping Beauty" ballet at the Prague National Theatre?

Talk about a magical evening! As soon as I stepped into the grand, historical building, it felt like I’d been whisked back to another era. The atmosphere crackled with excitement, and I couldn't wait for the show to begin. And oh my heavens, it did not disappoint!

The dancing was impeccable, every step as light as a feather, every movement a stroke of pure genius. The costumes were just gorgeous! The Prince’s shimmering white attire, and the Princess Aurora in her exquisite pink tutĂș - it felt like something straight out of a storybook.

Afterwards, I just had to soak up the magic of the theatre a bit longer, indulging in a delicious cuppa at the theatre cafe. It felt absolutely divine to just sit back, let my mind wander back through the incredible evening and dream of what incredible performance awaits me next!

After the ballet, it was time for a bit of "Pink Tutu Prague" shopping! Prague's Old Town Square, oh, where to begin! The city is practically an overflowing shop of fashion inspiration! I just had to explore every hidden corner for a special piece to commemorate my time in Prague.

First stop was a charming boutique filled with vintage pieces. Oh, my! I was instantly drawn to a breathtaking, silky coral pink evening gown, practically calling my name from the rack. Perfect for a graceful night on the town, wouldn't you agree?

I couldn’t resist indulging in some Prague-themed souvenirs, too, picking out the most darling miniature wooden ballerina figurines. They're so whimsical and will remind me of my fantastic journey every time I look at them.

Oh, the joy of shopping for the perfect pink! From shimmering tulle skirts, to the most exquisite pink velvet ribbons and dazzling sequined accessories, every shop was just begging to be explored. But don’t worry darlings, I made sure I didn't miss any of the legendary local street performers. They were so delightful! Some of them even wore tutĂșs, the inspiration for my Pink Tutu lifestyle flowing freely through the cobbled streets!

Of course, I couldn’t resist a quick bite to eat at a charming, family-owned bistro just off the Old Town Square. I dined on a light yet oh-so-delicious bowl of creamy mushroom soup (in a lovely pink soup bowl!) before continuing my adventures.

Later that evening, the air practically crackled with music. Prague was holding its annual “Prague By Night” street festival. I had a wonderful time watching the talented street performers showcase their skills: acrobats, fire dancers, jugglers, oh, so many, all against a stunning backdrop of Prague’s most iconic architecture.

Later, as the twinkling city lights came on, I watched Prague unfold at night - simply breathtaking. The old cobbled streets were bathed in the golden glow of streetlights and shops windows and I was just giddy with excitement! It truly was a moment that perfectly captures the magic of travel.

Now, if you think you can't pull off pink in your everyday life, darling, think again! In Prague, I saw ladies in pink dresses, men sporting pink socks, even puppies wearing pink collars - it’s simply a must-have for the truly chic! But, you know, there's something quite magical about rocking a full-blown, pink tutu in the heart of Prague.

So, that was my Prague adventure – a week packed with ballet, fashion, fun and a little bit of pink tutu magic! Until next time, darlings, stay chic!

Oh, and don’t forget to pop by www.pink-tutu.com every Wednesday for a new post! Until then, stay happy, stay stylish and always remember, a pink tutu can take you anywhere in the world!

See you soon!

Lots of love, Emma xxx
