Pink Tutu Prague: Post #342

Wednesday 14th November 2001

Good morning my darlings! It's a chilly but crisp morning here in Prague. The leaves are falling in gorgeous shades of auburn and gold, and the cobblestones gleam with frost, creating a fairytale scene that could only be conjured by this truly magical city. But my heart is filled with the fiery glow of pink, ready to burst into a full-blown tutu twirl, because today's adventure promises to be positively spectacular!

This is my third day in Prague, and already I've fallen head over heels for this captivating city. It's just the perfect blend of romantic, elegant, and quirky, much like myself. Oh, and have you seen the clothes here? Exquisite! Vintage stores, high-street chic, and stunning little boutiques with bohemian charm overflowing, my darlings! Yesterday, I lost track of time browsing a magnificent antique shop filled with feathered hats, elaborate corsets, and vintage tutus galore! And can you believe the prices? A true steal for a budding fashionista like myself.

Speaking of steals, the way to my heart, as always, leads through the Theatre. But don't get me wrong, a trip to the shops can sometimes feel like a captivating performance in itself! However, tonight, I shall be experiencing something truly unique - the Prague Ballet performing 'The Sleeping Beauty' at the National Theatre! It’s a masterpiece that transcends language, time, and any semblance of ordinary. Oh, the tutus, the sets, the choreography…

This ballet holds a special place in my heart. Do you know why? Because it has one of the most magnificent tutus ever created, of course! It's an absolute masterpiece of tulle and embellishments, crafted with a fairytale grandeur that practically begs you to twirl around. The entire ballet is a vibrant symphony of beauty, bringing to life the magic and elegance of the fairytale.

For a taste of this ballet’s magnificence, have a peek at the picture I've attached to this blog post – a photo I just snagged while taking a morning stroll. It’s a picture of the National Theatre itself. It truly stands tall, magnificent and proud – and a fitting stage for this extraordinary performance!

I'm picturing myself, dressed in my own dreamy, swirling pink tutu, with matching sparkly tiara. Imagine the envy I'll provoke – the gasp from the crowd! But you know me – my tutu is about much more than personal flair, it's about embracing the art of movement, the sheer joy of dancing, and a celebration of pure beauty, both inside and out!

Oh, and just imagine – after the performance, I might even find myself exploring the hidden alleys of Prague with its ancient clock towers and fairytale corners, sipping a hot chocolate from a charming café. Who knows, I might even bump into a real prince or two – well, a gentlemanly man with kind eyes and impeccable taste would suffice! After all, every day is an opportunity for adventure, wouldn't you say?

Of course, I will be blogging about it all for you. Every detail – every swirling pink dress, every delicate chandelier, every magical step and flourish – I will be documenting it all, right here, on Pink Tutu Prague. Don't forget, dear reader, you can follow along with all my adventures in the vibrant pink realm here on my website every Wednesday!

But for now, I'm off to do some research. It seems there’s a fabulous ballet museum here in Prague, with its own dedicated section on tutu history – a dream come true! I might even unearth some vintage designs, a truly exciting thought! Imagine me – a vision of vintage ballet beauty, gracefully waltzing through Prague, captivating the locals with my rosy smile and whimsical tutu. The perfect embodiment of grace and femininity, a true ambassador of all things Pink Tutu!

So, until next Wednesday, darlings! I can’t wait to share more enchanting stories with you all. And don't forget - a pink tutu a day keeps the boring away!

Lots of love and twirls,

Emma

P.S. - Do let me know if you'd like to see pictures of the Prague ballet, or if you'd prefer some stunning pictures of tutus from the museum!
