Pink Tutu Prague: Ballet and Bows on the Vltava! (Post #363)

Hello, darlings! It's Emma, your favourite tutu-clad travel blogger, and this week, I'm waltzing straight from Derbyshire to the enchanting city of Prague! You know me, I always say, life is a stage, and Prague, with its cobbled streets and fairytale architecture, is certainly a grand setting.

A Ballet Dream Come True

I've always been a little obsessed with ballet, ever since I started twirling around in my very first pink tutu at the age of three. (Honestly, who could resist those tiny ruffles?) I find myself endlessly fascinated by the grace and precision of ballet, the stories told through movement, the incredible costumes, and of course, the gorgeous music!

Prague is renowned for its ballet, with a rich tradition dating back centuries. It seemed fitting, don't you think, to start my journey with a visit to the exquisite National Theatre, where I had tickets to a spectacular performance of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake." I just had to have a little matching outfit, naturally! My pale pink, tiered tutu, paired with a silk, powder-blue blouse, was practically made for a night at the opera.

The theatre itself is an architectural marvel, its majestic faรงade gleaming on the Vltava riverbank. Stepping inside, I felt a wave of awe and excitement wash over me. It was truly a magical atmosphere โ€“ and the performance was phenomenal. I must say, I felt my heart soar when the beautiful ballerina soared across the stage, her movements as light as a feather. And those swans โ€“ utterly breathtaking.

Fashion Finds in the Heart of Prague

After the show, I couldn't resist exploring the heart of the city. Prague's Old Town Square, with its vibrant shops and cafes, had me swooning. My trusty map led me to a darling little boutique, where I discovered a fabulous, blush pink dress, perfectly embroidered with miniature roses. It's simply divine! And, to my absolute delight, the shopkeeper was incredibly kind and gave me a free pearl necklace to compliment the dress. Who says travelling isn't a chance for fantastic fashion finds?

Train Travel with a Pink Twist

Of course, no journey is complete without some delicious travel anecdotes. This time, I chose to take the train to Prague. A little slower than a flight, perhaps, but with ample opportunity to write in my diary and admire the countryside whizzing by! (The window view was the perfect backdrop for my latest Instagram post, I might add.) What can I say, a train journey just allows you to embrace a more leisurely pace. Plus, I brought along my lucky plush unicorn, which my dearest gran knitted me. It just wouldn't be right to travel without a touch of whimsical charm!

A Parisian Rendezvous

And now, darlings, here's a little secret. After my delightful ballet excursion in Prague, I'm whisking myself off to the enchanting city of Paris! The French capital just beckons, calling to my inner fashionista! Imagine: gorgeous clothes shopping, romantic cafes, and, of course, more magnificent ballet performances. I simply can't wait to share all my Parisian adventures with you. Stay tuned for my next blog post!

Until then, keep dancing, stay fashionable, and always remember, a pink tutu can take you anywhere your heart desires!

XOXO, Emma
