Pink Tutu Prague: Where The Magic Begins (Blog Post #380)

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad blogger, Emma, checking in from the absolutely magical city of Prague! As you all know, this Wednesday marks my weekly Prague blog, and oh, my dears, it feels like I've just stepped into a fairytale! I'm sipping a warm, honey-lemon drink from a little cafe nestled in the heart of Prague, the scent of cinnamon mingling with the cobblestone streets.

Pink Perfection in Prague

This week, I arrived in Prague by train, of course, in the most fabulous pink travel outfit ever! It was a soft blush silk dress with layers of tulle cascading around my ankles, reminiscent of a blossoming peony. Paired with my trusty pink suede ankle boots and my favourite vintage rose-print hat, I felt like I could waltz right off the train platform and onto the cobblestone streets.

You see, Prague is not just a city, it's a kaleidoscope of colours, scents, and emotions! I already know I'm going to have the most wonderful time exploring this city with its fairytale-like architecture, charming cafes, and bustling markets. Every corner is a photo opportunity! And, of course, a chance for me to try on a few gorgeous pink outfits.

Prague's Ballet Scene: A Dream Come True

My love for ballet has taken me to so many incredible cities, and Prague has already captured my heart! Not just for its breathtaking beauty but also for its thriving ballet scene. You see, darling, a girl like me can never resist the call of a well-executed pirouette or a perfectly graceful plié!

This week, on August 7th, Prague's National Theatre is presenting a dazzling performance of "La Sylphide." You can imagine my delight! It's one of my absolute favourite ballets, telling the story of James, a young man who is drawn to the mysterious Sylphide, a magical woodland creature. The costumes and choreography are simply breathtaking. Can you picture a performance that blends graceful movements, exquisite costumes, and dramatic music, all under the enchanting backdrop of Prague? It’s a true masterpiece, my loves!

Pink Tutu Delights

Speaking of exquisite costumes, I'm off to browse Prague's charming vintage shops for some inspiration for my next ballet outfit. I’ve heard rumours about a wonderful shop tucked away in a narrow side street, overflowing with dazzling silks, sequined treasures, and perhaps even some divine pink tutus.

The Magic of Prague

What makes Prague truly special is its effortless blend of history and modernity. Wandering through its narrow streets, I'm transported back to centuries past with the majestic Prague Castle, the awe-inspiring Charles Bridge, and the colourful, bustling Old Town Square. Yet, every corner holds the vibrant energy of a modern city filled with captivating street art, trendy cafes, and creative art installations. It's a city that embraces the past, celebrating the present, and dreaming about the future – much like a ballerina in a beautiful pink tutu.

Keep Up With My Adventures

Stay tuned for next Wednesday’s post! I promise it will be bursting with pictures, details, and maybe even a little secret I’ve discovered about this enchanting city! And don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and Twitter for live updates from the heart of Prague.

Love, Emma
