Hello my lovely tutu-twirling friends! I'm back from a whirlwind tour of Prague, and I'm absolutely buzzing to share every delicious detail with you. It's been a trip overflowing with cobbled streets, breathtaking architecture, and of course, ballet galore! As always, I've made sure my pink tutu is making an appearance in every photo - what else would you expect from the Queen of Pink Tutu?
My Journey to Prague: A Pink-hued Fairy Tale
You might be wondering, "How does a ballet-obsessed girl like you afford these incredible trips?" Well, darling, I'm not exactly a princess living in a palace! My adventures are funded by the magic of my dancing!
I perform at ballet schools and community centres around Derbyshire, and it's through the generosity of audiences and my dedication to pirouette perfection that I'm able to hop on a train and head off to my next fabulous destination. This time, it was a comfy Eurostar journey through the countryside. Even though it wasn't a magical pony ride (a girl can dream!), the scenery was absolutely stunning.
Arriving in Prague: A Breathtaking Symphony of Charm
Prague greeted me with a beautiful blend of medieval magic and modern elegance. The city is positively bursting with vibrant colours, enchanting old buildings, and the kind of charm that makes you feel like you've stepped into a fairy tale. It's a place that practically begs to be explored on foot, so of course, I grabbed my trusty pink tote bag, adorned with my lucky little ballerina charm, and set off on a grand adventure!
Pink Tutu Adventures: Finding Ballet Treasures
As any good ballet devotee knows, a visit to Prague simply has to include a ballet performance. The city boasts an incredible selection of theatres, showcasing world-class talent and diverse productions. I managed to snag tickets to a breathtaking performance of Swan Lake at the National Theatre. The choreography was exquisite, and the costumes - oh, the costumes! The tutus were simply divine, a feast for the eyes.
While the show was a real highlight, my ballet journey didn't end there. I had to get a feel for the city's own unique ballet scene. After a little research (and a lot of browsing in those fab boutiques!), I found myself at the charming Mala Scena Theatre, nestled amongst the winding streets of Old Town. They offer a more intimate experience, and I loved the sense of community amongst the audience.
Tutu Fashion: The Parisian-Inspired Charm of Prague
My wardrobe practically begged me to go shopping in Prague, and darling, it did not disappoint! This city boasts the perfect blend of Parisian chic and Bohemian flair, all in the most charmingly pastel colours imaginable. My personal highlight was stumbling upon a darling little vintage store hidden away in a side street. It was brimming with delightful, retro clothes that would have made my ballet-loving granny blush. I couldn't resist a few treasures - a chic black dress with intricate lace details (perfect for a special evening performance), and a soft pink beret that I absolutely knew would go beautifully with my newest tutu (a creamy pastel with shimmering lilac accents, oh my!).
More Than Ballet: The Splendour of Prague
Of course, ballet isn't the only thing that keeps me enchanted in Prague! This city is a haven for anyone who loves a touch of magic. We spent hours strolling through the Old Town Square, gawking at the stunning architecture, and soaking up the charming atmosphere. We explored the Prague Castle, where we wandered through breathtaking gardens, admiring the panoramic views.
One of my absolute favourite things to do was hop aboard the historical tram lines and chug through the city streets. It's a truly delightful way to take in all the sights and sounds, and it lets you peek into those hidden alleyways and secret corners. Plus, it feels utterly glamorous, a bit like something straight out of a classic film.

Prague has truly captured my heart. It's a place where history whispers from every corner, and the air is filled with the magic of a bygone era.
