Pink Tutu Prague: Adventures in a City of Charm and Ballet - Post #422

Hello my darling Tutu Tribe! It's Emma, your Pink Tutu Princess, and I'm finally in Prague! I’m so excited, you have no idea.

This magnificent city is steeped in history, culture, and of course… ballet! I’ve been saving up for this trip for ages, performing at galas and charity events, so I could truly indulge in the exquisite ballet scene here.

Now, Prague, for those who don’t know, is simply breathtaking. The cobbled streets are so romantic, with grand buildings and bridges draped in stories of ages past. Everywhere you look, there’s a new photo opportunity – a glimpse into the past with charming pastel-colored buildings, or a glimpse into the future with chic boutiques selling the most divine clothes. And, my darlings, let me tell you, Prague is truly a city for a pink-loving ballet princess like myself. The charming, almost fairytale atmosphere adds to the enchantment!

As you know, my dear tutu enthusiasts, travel by train is a dream - a perfect opportunity to write, plan outfits and observe the passing scenery from my window seat. A hot chocolate, a comfy sweater, and of course my Pink Tutu-approved travelling accessories – you just can't beat the journey by rail!

Prague itself was a whole new experience – I was charmed by the beautiful buildings, the architecture, the friendly locals, and the abundance of pastel pinks and delicious sweet treats!

But let's be honest, the real highlight for me was the incredible National Theatre. The first time I saw the building, I was speechless - it’s a beautiful neo-Renaissance masterpiece. Inside, it's even more impressive! All grandeur and elegance, adorned with the most exquisite details, the perfect stage for a truly beautiful performance.

This week, I saw a performance of “Swan Lake.” This performance, my dears, was utterly divine! Every movement was fluid, every emotion portrayed with such exquisite precision. I felt a real connection to the choreography, and to the story - it was both magical and mesmerizing.

But my adventures weren't just about ballet! Prague is a city alive with a vibrant artistic scene, and there were many wonderful, fashion-forward shops to explore. Imagine, my darlings, exquisite silks, delicate lace, vintage gowns, and the most amazing collection of hats - my pink hat collection is steadily expanding, and I’ve even discovered the perfect hat for my new tutu! You can see a preview of my gorgeous new headwear on my Instagram, by the way!

It’s no secret I love all things pink. But, even for someone who considers pink their most favoured hue, I was simply amazed at the array of shades. Every shade, from the delicate pastel of a cherry blossom, to a daring deep pink – everything here seemed to embrace that exquisite blush. The architecture, the food, even the people – all beautifully captured the beauty of pink.

You’ll find pink everything - a truly pink lover’s paradise - from cafes offering the most divine pink lattes, to the quaint tea rooms serving pastel-coloured cupcakes! Every cafe and patisserie boasted at least a few delightful pink macarons - you know how much I love macarons! Even the iconic Astronomical Clock at Old Town Square boasts some pink details – I mean, how perfectly lovely is that?

The fashion scene is fabulous, of course. Prague has so many gorgeous vintage boutiques, and shops with the most beautiful accessories and clothes. My suitcase is bursting with fabulous new dresses, a breathtaking pink velvet cape, a shimmering tutu (of course!), and, my favourite discovery - a hat adorned with miniature ballerina figures! It’s simply the cutest thing!

In fact, I think Prague was meant for me - I feel truly at home here! But my travels are far from over. There’s so much more to see and explore - Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, the beautiful art galleries, even the charming little bookstores. I’ll be taking you along with me on this journey, my darling tutu-loving readers.

Of course, the Pink Tutu Project continues. You won't be surprised to know, I’ve been handing out pink tutus to willing participants in the street, with my new slogan: "A Tutu is More Than Just a Garment. It’s an attitude!" So far, so good, with quite a few people happy to embrace a touch of pink and tutudom. Every time I spot someone who embodies the spirit of Pink Tutu Prague - happy, charming, and enjoying the beauty around them, I simply can't help but say, "Let's make the world a bit pinker, one tutu at a time!"

Speaking of my dear Tutu Tribe, I would love to hear about your travel adventures, or about your favourite pink tutu memories!

As always, keep those tutus twirling, keep your spirits high, and let's all be like the graceful swans on the beautiful stage in Prague – elegant, powerful, and filled with love and happiness!

See you next week!

Much Love,

Emma

Pink Tutu Princess
