Pink Tutu Prague: Post #472

Hello my darling readers!

Itā€™s Wednesday, so you know what that meansā€¦ time for another Pink Tutu blog post! This week, Iā€™m in gorgeous Prague, the ā€œCity of a Hundred Spiresā€ and it's all just absolutely fabulous. My current travelling costume is my brand new blush-pink tutu, a dreamy layered affair with a delicate tulle top and flowing satin panels, a perfect complement to Pragueā€™s enchanting architecture.

I arrived last week by train - yes, darling, by train, such a civilized way to travel, unlike those ghastly aeroplanes! I love watching the world go by, all that greenery, it makes my heart soar. And of course, I brought a whole selection of Pink Tutu travel outfits - a hot pink satin suitcase for the journey and a dazzling array of floral dresses to take me from historical sights to evening gala performances. I mean, wouldnā€™t be caught dead in a plain old boring ensemble when surrounded by such grandeur.

Prague has been utterly captivating, darling! Thereā€™s an energy here, a fairytale feel with its gothic spires piercing the clouds, cobbled streets, and pastel-colored houses that are straight out of a childrenā€™s book! Oh, and the shopping is exquisite! Prague boasts incredible vintage boutiques with an eclectic mix of clothes, shoes, hats - oh my! Itā€™s a vintage wonderland, where I managed to score a divine powder blue vintage tutu that is absolutely to die for! I think it might just become my new favourite, and trust me, darling, thatā€™s saying something!

The Czech Ballet: A Dance Dream!

Prague is also known for its rich dance heritage and of course, I couldn't miss out on a visit to the Prague National Theatre. The architecture is a marvel ā€“ all gold ornamentation, velvet, and soaring chandeliers ā€“ utterly divine! Iā€™ve spent days exploring its labyrinthine hallways, gazing at posters and programme books that feel like time capsules. I even managed to pick up some very lovely programmes for my collection!

Oh, but let's not forget the performance, darling! The National Theatre ballet troupe is superb ā€“ such stunning artistry! The other day, I attended a production of "Giselle" which was simply divine. Their performance was exquisite, full of emotion, technique, and ethereal beauty. The dancers were breathtaking in their fluid grace, perfectly capturing the delicate nuances of the classic tale of love, loss, and betrayal. The ethereal nature of the production had me enchanted for days. You should really see it if youā€™re here in Prague ā€“ I'd even buy you tickets if I could, you know how much I adore ballet!

And if you are a ballet fan, Prague is a ballet lover's paradise! The city offers a smorgasbord of dance options, from intimate contemporary ballet showcases in smaller venues, to grand, elaborate productions in renowned theatres like the National Theatre. Oh, Iā€™m not afraid of a little extravagance, my dears! You deserve a little touch of opulence and you know I love indulging in all things luxurious!

Prague in Pink Tutu:

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to catch the Czech Ballet's ā€œThe Nutcrackerā€ - a perfect winter wonderland delight! It was staged at a charming, ornate theater that felt a little more intimate than the National Theatre, making it more special. Imagine my joy, darling, the little sugar plum fairies danced in dainty, pastel-coloured tutus! Such sweet inspiration. They had a little girl dressed in a sparkly white tutu and wings too, oh, my dears it was utterly divine!

I, of course, wore my newest pale pink tutu. And let me tell you, it truly stole the show. I am going to tell you a little secret about Prague - pink is very in style, darling! Every time I pop into a vintage shop, a coffee shop, or an elegant restaurant I spot ladies wearing pink! You just can't help but smile, thereā€™s a lightness to pink, an undeniable aura of joy.

Fashion: Finding my Prague Style:

Speaking of fashion, the Bohemian style here is absolutely lovely. Layers upon layers of texture, from floaty lace dresses to embellished jumpers, are all worn with such natural flair! Of course, no wardrobe would be complete without a touch of velvet or suede, perfect for adding a dash of luxury. Itā€™s definitely inspiring some new outfits for my blog - look out for the Prague edit soon!

Travel Inspiration for the Pink Tutu Diaries:

Oh, the places weā€™ll go! I already have my sights set on another ballet performance, this time at a gorgeous theatre that I discovered nestled on the edge of a picturesque park. You know how much I adore open spaces! And I canā€™t wait to see the Prague State Opera perform "Swan Lake," just imagining it with all those feathered tutus, exquisite swans. Oh my dears, it's pure magic!

The rest of my trip will be all about indulging my pink-loving heart. I have my eye on a beautiful, historic pink gingerbread house with stunning views of the city ā€“ a proper little dream! Iā€™ll have to document it all in a post ā€“ I wouldn't miss it for the world! I have so many plans, darling, but what do you say we take a little break before I ramble on all day, don't you think?

Until next Wednesday, when Iā€™ll be spilling the tea on more of Pragueā€™s treasures - all from my favourite place ā€“ a delicious cafĆ© filled with pastel pink furniture and the most divine pistachio macaroons ā€“ perfect for a stylish pink-tutu-wearing girl on a fashion tour! I hope youā€™ll be there, darlings, donā€™t be shy, drop me a line on Pink-Tutu.com and share your thoughts!

*Oh, and if you are ever in Prague, darling, and happen to see a girl wearing a stunning pink tutu walking around town with a suitcase bursting with lovely frocks ā€“ well, you know who it is, come say hello! I always adore a new friend in a new city, darling! *
