Pink Tutu Prague: Post 473 - Whirlwind of Ballet & Bohemian Charm

Hello, darlings! Emma here, and today I'm beaming with Prague-licious joy! It's Wednesday, so you know what that means: a new Pink Tutu Prague post! This week, I've been twirling through the cobbled streets of this magnificent city, soaking up the historical charm and indulging in my absolute favourite things: ballet and shopping! 🩰🛍️

Prague, my dears, is an absolute dream for a pink tutu-clad ballet enthusiast like myself. The architecture is like a fairytale come to life – think turrets and gargoyles, crumbling castles, and winding alleyways that whisper stories of forgotten kings and queens. And let's not forget those iconic Charles Bridge views. Breathtaking! 😍

But enough about the scenery – let's talk ballet! I've just returned from the most divine performance by the National Theatre Ballet, nestled in the heart of Prague's Old Town. The programme showcased a captivating blend of classical and contemporary works, with dancers gliding like swans through the air, and leaps that seemed to defy gravity. Truly breathtaking!

Speaking of which, darling, let me tell you, their costumes were the absolute crème de la crème. We're talking shimmering fabrics, exquisite craftsmanship, and yes, you guessed it – even a little sprinkle of pink!

Before the performance, I strolled down a narrow cobblestone street lined with little boutique shops, and oh my, what a feast for the senses! Every corner offered an explosion of colour and whimsical textures, perfectly echoing Prague's Bohemian spirit. I found the most charming little shop brimming with antique lace and velvet – perfect for my upcoming pink tutu designs! 💖

The afternoon was spent soaking up the sun at Petřínská rozhledna, the picturesque replica of the Eiffel Tower nestled amidst a lush park. A moment for myself, lost in contemplation and sketching a new tutu design, the scent of wisteria swirling in the air around me. A beautiful ballet in itself, this life, darling.

The Night’s Ballet Adventure

My evening started with a delectable dinner of Prague dumplings, goulash, and, of course, a glass of delicious Czech beer. Oh, the joys of being a little hungry ballet enthusiast on a trip! Afterwards, I journeyed towards the Prague State Opera with a heart full of anticipation. Tonight, we'd see "The Sleeping Beauty" – one of my all-time favourite ballets, with a sprinkle of Tchaikovsky magic! 🎻

The grandeur of the opera house was simply stunning. Velvet curtains, ornate gold carvings, a plush red velvet seating area – it felt like a glimpse into a grand ball. Then, the magic began. The dancers glided with effortless grace, their pink tutus twirling around them in a beautiful blur of movement. A fairytale come alive! 💖

Every note, every pirouette, and every delicate extension lifted my heart – the beauty of it all brought tears to my eyes.

Later that evening, as I strolled through the illuminated Old Town, feeling like a true princess, I couldn’t help but smile at the synchronicity of the moment. Here I was, a little girl with dreams of becoming a ballerina, surrounded by historical marvels and a ballet performance that filled my soul with joy. The magic of it all was just...breathtaking.

Pink Tutu & Travel – My Passion!

Of course, being on a journey as grand as a ballet tour requires an elegant way to travel. So I did something a bit unconventional - I took a pony ride to my next performance in the beautiful city of Brno, just a little jaunt south from Prague. A true taste of bohemian adventure!

Brno was brimming with a vibrant energy that radiated a unique flavour - industrial grit and artistic flair melded together perfectly. I fell head over heels for its funky vibe and loved how a city can feel simultaneously rugged yet sophisticated. I even found a fab little shop selling vintage tutu fabric - talk about lucky finds! 💖

The ballet here was completely different from Prague. Instead of grand opera houses, Brno hosted the performance in a repurposed factory space - a perfect setting for the contemporary style ballet the performers presented. The dancers were all so athletic, and their modern movements told compelling stories. This evening had a gritty energy I enjoyed and was a little bit wilder than what I'm accustomed to in England.

And what does one wear to such an eclectic and unexpected performance? Well, you guessed it, darling! I donned a bright pink, ultra-flowy tulle skirt – just a tad more punk rock than usual. It’s all about adapting my pink tutu love for every situation, every place and every type of ballet. ✨

As I bid farewell to Brno, I felt that familiar twinge of both sadness and excitement – sadness that a beautiful journey had come to an end, but excitement for what adventures lay ahead. And you know what? I’ve already booked a pony ride to my next destination – Vienna, Austria! 🐴

This Pink Tutu Story is Just Beginning!

My journey through Central Europe has been a dream come true. The sights, the culture, the incredible ballet performances – I’ve been absolutely swept away by it all. My blog will keep you updated about my Vienna adventures, with even more fashion tips and fun, tutu-inspired experiences. You don't want to miss it!

Stay twirling, my dear lovelies! 💖

Until next Wednesday!
