Prague: Pink Tutu Paradise! (Post #503)

Hello my dearest tutu-lovers! It's Emma here, straight from the enchanting city of Prague, and oh my goodness, I'm simply delighted to be writing this week's blog. As you all know, Wednesday is Prague day on pink-tutu.com, and I'm ready to take you all on a whirlwind tour of tutus, cobbled streets, and the most glorious ballet show you can imagine!

So, here I am, a true tutu enthusiast and proud Derbyshire girl, stepping into a new week, ready to explore all that Prague has to offer. Let me tell you, I've got a lot to tell you! We're talking breathtaking architecture, hidden alleys dripping in history, and some of the most delightful shops and markets I've ever encountered! Oh, and did I mention the gorgeous, magnificent, and downright fabulous ballet show I attended? Prepare yourselves for tutu-tastic brilliance!

Prague Calling... And Pink Is Answering!

Now, anyone who knows me knows that pink is my colour. And guess what? Prague is embracing pink with open arms! Everywhere I look, it's there. A blushing sunset peeking through the church towers, a quaint pink cafe on the corner, a little pink ribbon tied to a shop window. Even the roses in the local markets seem to have an extra dash of pink in their blooms. It's like the whole city is saying "Welcome, pink-loving Emma!"

As I ambled through the historic heart of Prague, it was like stepping into a fairytale. The towering architecture, the cobblestone streets that whisper with stories, the ancient clock that chimes with an otherworldly grace, it's simply stunning! I’ve made a real effort to embrace this city's captivating charm by walking the Old Town Square, where history and architecture entwine in a beautiful embrace. Oh, the photos I've captured – Prague is begging to be painted onto my pink tutu!

Ballet, Shopping, and a Pink Tutu Wardrobe Makeover!

And of course, it wouldn't be a Prague adventure without a delightful dose of ballet. You all know how I feel about ballet. It's in my blood, in my soul, in every pirouette of my tutu-clad being. And here, in the very heart of this magical city, I discovered a little jewel called the Staatsoper Prague – the Czech National Theatre, housed in a building almost as graceful as a dancer’s posture! Let me tell you, the show I saw… the energy, the artistry, the sheer elegance – it was like magic brought to life. I won’t reveal any spoilers (don’t worry, you'll just have to take my word for it), but trust me, I emerged from the theatre with a heart filled with joy and a soul that felt like it could pirouette through the stars! The Staatsoper Prague – if you're ever in this fabulous city, don’t even think of missing it.

But, my dear readers, I couldn’t spend time in a beautiful city like Prague without doing some serious shopping! It’s all about finding those unique pieces that spark joy and remind me of my adventures. My tutu collection desperately needed a bit of Prague love, so I embarked on a grand quest to find the perfect pieces to add a touch of Czech flair to my pink-tutu world. Picture it – charming vintage shops, colourful markets brimming with beautiful fabrics, and quaint boutiques overflowing with exquisite fashion treasures. Oh, I fell in love with everything I saw. From hand-stitched lace blouses, perfect for adding a touch of romance to my tutus, to exquisitely patterned silk scarves that added a touch of vibrant colour to my dancewear. It was a shopper’s dream! My suitcase was soon brimming with delightful finds, ready to take their rightful place in my pink-tutu wardrobe.

And of course, I had to sample the local cuisine! Oh, the delights! The flavours! It was a true feast for my senses, especially for the delicate palate of a ballet dancer like myself. I enjoyed my favourite Prague delicacy, trdelník - a sugar-coated pastry and I even sampled a delicious vegan soup - they call it kulajda in Czech, which makes me smile! And my pink-tutu clad silhouette had me enjoying some of the most elegant Czech sweets imaginable – cakes that looked almost good enough to be ballet costumes! They even added a dash of pink, if you please. What could be better!

My Prague Love Affair: Pink Tutu, Cobblestones, and More!

My dear tutu lovers, Prague has enchanted me with its charm, the vibrant colour, and its captivating culture. It's like the city was created specifically for a ballerina on the hunt for pink tutus, hidden boutiques, and delectable desserts.
