Hello, my dearest Tutu Tribe! It's Wednesday, and you know what that means... a fresh post from your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, landing right in your inbox! This week, I'm writing to you from the enchanting city of Prague, a place that's captured my heart as much as a perfectly pirouetted fouetté!
A Whirlwind Journey
Reaching Prague was an absolute dream! I took the most beautiful train journey through the rolling Czech countryside. It felt like stepping into a fairytale – sunshine dappling through the trees, fields bursting with colour, and quaint villages whizzing past like painted postcards. Oh, and I can't forget the part where I rode a pony (a fluffy chestnut, just like my dreams!) through a nearby meadow. It was like a scene straight out of Ballet Shoes, except I wasn't desperately trying to get into a prestigious dance academy – I was simply enjoying the beauty of the moment, a pink tutu-clad princess in a world of enchantment.
Prague: Where Ballet Dreams Come True
I'm staying in a beautiful little hotel in the heart of Old Town, with the most magnificent view of the Charles Bridge – oh, what a view! I feel like I've stepped back in time, surrounded by cobbled streets, gothic architecture, and vibrant street performers.
My reason for being here, however, is a little more serious (although just as fabulous, naturally): The National Theatre's production of "Giselle". I'm utterly thrilled! To be in Prague, known for its rich ballet heritage, and to experience this legendary story is truly special.
A History Lesson in Pink
Speaking of heritage, did you know that Prague has been a significant hub for ballet for centuries? It even boasts its very own ballet academy – how wonderfully grand! This city has a true appreciation for the artistry of dance, which makes it the perfect backdrop for my tutu adventures. Speaking of my tutu, I couldn't resist a little fashion indulgence while I'm here! The Prague fashion scene is incredible, filled with vintage boutiques and trendy shops bursting with sartorial delights. I found the most beautiful blush pink tutu with shimmering sequins, the perfect shade to complement the blush pink sunset reflecting over the Vltava River!
"Giselle" - A Heart-Stirring Performance
Today is the big day – I'm heading to the National Theatre for a truly magical evening. The anticipation is building. I'm feeling inspired by the city's history and ready to let the captivating storytelling of "Giselle" sweep me away.
