Pink Tutu Prague: Ballet, Shopping, and a Splash of Pink! (Blog Post #543)

Hello darlings! Emma here, back from the vibrant, captivating streets of Prague, ready to whisk you away on a journey thatā€™s bursting with pink tutus, delightful discoveries, and, of course, the magic of ballet.

As always, this Wednesday's post comes to you fresh from my travels. You know how I love exploring new cities, and this week, my darling, Prague has truly stolen my heart! It's such a picturesque city, a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern bustle. It's like stepping out of a fairytale - cobblestone streets, historic buildings that practically sing with stories, and even the river Vltava is a romantic canvas of glistening water. Oh, the magic!

This week's blog post is extra special. Why? Because Prague was graced by the presence of a magnificent ballet company, their stage adorned with, yes, you guessed it! Pink tutus. As I shimmied onto the National Theatre, it was a feeling like no other, seeing these dancers spin and twirl, every delicate movement enhanced by the delicate pink hues that swirled around them. The stage, like a living dream, painted a tale of graceful storytelling, a tapestry woven with intricate steps and powerful emotions. Truly a feast for the senses. The perfect backdrop for a pink tutu, don't you think?

My Prague Adventures

The last week has been an whirlwind, but it's been full of magic and beauty! I arrived in Prague with the sun setting over the Charles Bridge, its fairytale silhouettes bathed in a golden glow. I quickly checked into my hotel - all chintz and charm, reminding me of an Agatha Christie novel - and then, without hesitation, went straight for the delightful aroma of warm pastries and strong coffee at a local cafe.

Prague, a true cultural gem, is the perfect haven for a ballerina like me. From the intricate carvings of the Old Town Square to the captivating architectural marvels, there's magic in every corner. I felt compelled to document my every discovery, like a princess charting her explorations! My blog was bubbling with Prague updates, detailing the grand buildings and beautiful cobbled streets.

The main attraction this week was a ballet performance Iā€™d heard about before I even booked my train ticket, darling. I knew I had to be in Prague for this show. As it turned out, it was beyond expectations! I felt myself swaying along with the music, mesmerised by the grace and passion of the performers. The ballet was a beautiful interpretation of "Swan Lake" ā€“ the perfect way to delve into the magical world of classical dance. The dancersā€™ movement seemed so effortless, each pirouette, pliĆ© and grand jetĆ© sending shivers down my spine. As always, there was a lot of inspiration for my wardrobe - I just had to have a swan lake tutu! It felt only fitting that a pink tutu could match such exquisite performance. I spent a few days shopping in Prague, scooping up all the pink delights I could find.

Pink Tutus Everywhere!

My motto, darling, as you know, is ā€œSpread the Pink Tutu Love!ā€. In Prague, my vision was flourishing! I couldn't resist the temptation to dress up in a lovely pink tutu myself for my daily Prague strolls! Imagine, walking across the Charles Bridge in a flowing pink tutu, taking in the historic beauty that surrounded me. A tutu-wearing ballet blogger could get used to that, no?

As always, I was met with curious glances and amused smiles, some people even complimented my flair for the dramatic! It felt amazing, encouraging others to embrace their unique style, just like a dancing flower unfolding its petals! I canā€™t resist sharing the joy and colour with the world, Iā€™m a ballerina on a mission, darling. I've seen many a tutus in Prague, with some chic ladies taking my cues, or perhaps theyā€™re just kindred spirits with excellent taste in dance attire? You tell me.

Prague By Train

The train journey here was just lovely. Sitting beside a window as the landscape whipped by in a blur of colours and textures was a delightful sensory journey. And you know whatā€™s better than a regular train? A train with a vintage carriage and velvet seats! The plush cushions seemed perfect for a ballet performance - that or just a nice nap as I read my favourite ballerina magazine, that's what you call the life.

The train ride is a ballet in its own right, the smooth sway of the carriage mirroring a graceful sway. I couldn't help but notice the elegance of the old carriages and how they beautifully carried the legacy of grand railway travel. I made it my mission, to spot fellow tutu lovers at the station, but I think itā€™s too soon for others to grasp my tutu message. But you never know! A ballerina can always hope, and spread the message, right?

The Perfect Pony

One morning, I decided to indulge in Prague's countryside charm and opted for a relaxing horse ride. Oh, to gallop through meadows, the wind rushing through my hair, the smell of fresh grass filling my lungs! The scenery was truly breathtaking. Prague in the afternoon, Prague in the evening. What a delight, darling! It's my mission to be surrounded by loveliness. I have my favourite travel companion who just so happens to be a magnificent chestnut horse, as graceful as a dancer and as loyal as a friend. And no, a horse is the best way to see the Czech countryside! Iā€™ve done the horse and cart rides, which are fabulous, but this time it was a gallop to see a few sights and relax, the breeze blowing through my hair and my pink tutu dancing! That's what it's all about!

Fashionable Find in Prague

But Prague, my dear, is more than just captivating beauty and charming history. It's also a haven for stylish fashionistas like me! I couldn't resist a trip to the enchanting boutiques and vintage shops, searching for my perfect souvenirs - things that whisper a tale of elegance and charm. The Bohemian atmosphere in Prague has infused its local fashion, giving a whimsical yet chic flair to all its designs.

A delicate silk scarf with hand-painted floral motifs and a shimmering silver brooch with Czech crystals made their way into my suitcase, their intricate designs reminding me of the captivating ballet performances I witnessed. But the most exciting find, darling, was a blush-pink lace dress that would make any ballerina's heart flutter. It seemed almost magical! Made of the most luxurious lace imaginable, I immediately saw it waltzing on a Parisian dance floor - with a pink tutu as an essential addition of course! As I made my way through Pragueā€™s cobblestone streets, it truly felt like a fairytale.

Prague, My Muse

Prague's history is beautifully intertwined with ballet! Did you know that one of the cityā€™s most iconic theatres, the Estates Theatre, hosted a ballet performance by the world-renowned dancer and choreographer, Marie Taglioni, back in 1832. Isnā€™t that romantic! Itā€™s just amazing to know that my love of ballet has touched such grand, historical grounds.

My visit to the Estates Theatre was such a magical experience. The beautifully adorned grand halls transported me back in time, imagining the elegant gentlemen and ladies enjoying the spectacle. I imagined Marie Taglioni twirling, the tutu flowing, under the enchanting theatre lights. That moment of connection with history, brought a smile to my face. If Prague could charm Marie Taglioni back in the 19th century, then surely I, Emma, a tutu-loving ballerina, could find some love in this gorgeous city.

And Prague did fall in love with me, just as much as I fell for it.

But every journey, darling, must end, and sadly, my stay in Prague had to come to a close. I was back on the train, reminiscing about my amazing journey and longing for more Parisian flair. The train, just as much a journey of its own, sped through landscapes, past small towns and quaint villages - I'd feel a little sad to be leaving. There was, as you know, one crucial element missing from Pragueā€¦ Pink Tutus! They are definitely taking note of me in Derbyshire. Now if only we can take the message to the world. But darling, my travels never end. My pink tutu is always ready for my next adventure, and a new post. I've just finished working on my swan lake outfit so Iā€™ll definitely post an update on that on my social media.

Iā€™ll be back next Wednesday with another post for your delightful viewing.

Stay Fabulous! Emma xx www.pink-tutu.com
