Prague - A Tutu-tastic Adventure! (Blog Post #550)
Hello lovelies! It’s Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to the gorgeous city of Prague. My tutu and I have just finished exploring its magical cobbled streets, feasting on delicious Czech cuisine, and experiencing a truly enchanting ballet performance. I'm here to share all the exciting details with you, because Prague is, well, tutu-licious!
The Pink Tutu Journey Begins
This week's adventure started with a whirlwind journey from Derbyshire. As always, I had my trusty travel tutu packed and ready to go! I just can't help but feel extra glamorous when I'm in my pink paradise. This time, however, I took a more relaxed approach to travel. Instead of rushing through Heathrow like a gazelle escaping a lion, I opted for a scenic train ride across the continent. Watching the landscapes whizz by was absolutely captivating, and there's just something so romantic about travelling by train, don't you think?
Prague - A Fairy Tale City
Prague was breathtaking! The minute we arrived, I knew it was a city made for tutus. From the fairytale castles to the enchanting bridges over the Vltava River, every corner exuded charm and romance. The architecture is just stunning! I found myself constantly snapping photos, my little camera going clickety-clack at every picturesque view. It truly felt like I had stepped into a vintage fairytale.
Shopping Extravaganza
Of course, no trip would be complete without a bit of retail therapy! I'm all about exploring local shops and uncovering hidden treasures. The Old Town Square, with its charming cobblestone streets, is home to so many delightful boutiques. I unearthed some delightful finds: a hand-painted porcelain ballerina doll (it twirls perfectly on its stand!), and a stunning antique pink feather boa that just begged to be added to my collection. And let's not forget the most essential find - a vintage pink feather trim hat for a touch of ballerina chic, naturally!
A Tutu-ful Evening at the Ballet
My reason for venturing to Prague this week was the National Theatre. Now, if you know me, you know how much I adore ballet, and Prague has such a rich and vibrant ballet history! They hold some of the most magnificent ballet shows in Europe! I just couldn’t resist seeing what this incredible company could deliver. I was lucky enough to catch a breathtaking performance of "Giselle." The story is a classic ballet romance – a love story set in a world of magic, romance, and a touch of ghostly wonder. The costumes were stunning, and the dancers were truly captivating! It’s amazing to watch these professionals perform and express their emotion through dance. Each gesture felt so delicate, and each leap so effortless! The audience was captivated by every twirl and arabesque, including myself! It left me feeling so inspired, wanting to pirouette into the night!
The Prague Delights: Food, Fun and Memories
In between shopping and dancing, I savoured every moment of Prague's delicious offerings! You simply must try the local Trdelník! It's a cinnamon roll shaped like a tube, drizzled with icing sugar - truly a delicious treat. And of course, I can’t forget the beautiful, pink-hued Czech pastries - so divine, I could almost dance for joy! The locals are charming and warm, always happy to share their culture and food with visitors.
I felt very welcome, almost like I'd come home! It’s true what they say; Prague really is a magical city, brimming with character and enchantment. It’s a place where time seems to stand still, allowing you to lose yourself in the beauty of your surroundings, and it's absolutely perfect for exploring, embracing new cultures and dreaming in a pink-hued tutu!
Don't Forget to Share the Tutu Love!
And you know me, I wouldn't be true to my pink-tutu persona without encouraging you all to embrace a little bit of ballet magic in your own lives! Put on your best tutu, or a little pink ribbon, and maybe try out a ballet class (or even just twirl in the comfort of your own home). Spread the pink tutu love wherever you go! You never know who you might inspire with a touch of graceful confidence!
See you next Wednesday, for a brand-new adventure in tutus!
With pink-tutu hugs and twirls, Emma xx
