Bonjour, my darling tututistas! Emma here, reporting live from the charming cobbled streets of Prague!
Itās Wednesday, and that means itās time for a new blog post. You can bet your bottom dollar Iām already twirling in a glorious new tulle creation (more on that later, darling). I just have to tell you all about my adventures in Prague so far. Oh, and it's absolutely pink-tastic!
I know, I know, you might be wondering what Iām doing here, all the way in the Czech Republic. Well, my sweet little dance bunnies, it all started with a whirlwind tour that came up from the most magical of places - the ballet stage, of course! A couple of weeks ago, I was whisked away to Vienna to perform with the Vienna State Opera. Talk about a dream come true! You wouldn't believe the incredible costumes. So elegant!
As soon as I had finished, my darling friend from the ballet, Beatrice, mentioned her upcoming Prague trip. Beatrice is a brilliant artist, just bursting with creativity. So, I decided, "Why not, darling? Let's take Prague by storm together!"
Now, you canāt even imagine the excitement of taking the train to Prague! You might think it sounds boring, but darling, not when you're decked out in a beautiful pink tutu and fluffy white ballerina slippers! Oh, and naturally, a sparkling tiara for the perfect finishing touch. After all, it's not every day youāre on a fairytale adventure, is it?
I can't forget to mention the pony. We took a horse-drawn carriage around the city and it felt so dreamy! We trotted past ancient buildings and charming cafes, a real-life fairytale come true. Just imagine, all this while wearing a glorious pink tutu - simply perfection!
And let me tell you, my loves, the Prague National Theatre is breathtaking! The architecture is a sight to behold, just picture towering columns and beautiful arches, all bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun.
Tonight is a big night, darling, because itās the āGiselleā ballet - oh how I do adore the romantic story and delicate choreography! Can you tell I'm excited? I simply adore all things ballet. Have I mentioned the incredible tutus used in the classic production? Absolutely divine!
Talking of tutusā¦ the thing about Prague is, it seems everyone has impeccable style! Itās a beautiful blend of classic elegance and bohemian charm, darling! Everywhere you turn, you see trendy fashion boutiques bursting with gorgeous outfits and unique accessories,
Just imagine this! The perfect vintage pink coat to wear to a tea party, or perhaps a sleek modern outfit to dance the night away at an opulent party! Oh darling, the fashion here is simply inspired. I found myself picking up the most delightful vintage hat - it is utterly perfect!
After all this fashion frenzy, whatās a girl to do but go on a shopping spree! Of course, darling, I had to explore Prague's charming shops to find that perfect piece of Parisian-chic attire to match the pink tutu. Let's be honest, darling, no outfit is complete without a tutu, itās just an unspoken rule! My trip to the shops is always a real treat, itās where I let my inner pink flamingo soar!
Prague's got so many charming corners, too. Picture narrow alleyways with fairytale-like buildings and buzzing little squares packed with artists, musicians, and street performers. And don't even get me started on the coffee! Oh, the coffee, darlings, so divine! Afternoons are filled with dreamy conversations over fluffy lattes, gossiping about the latest ballet gossip and sharing stories about our favourite ballerina costumes! You could say that my passion for the world of dance is definitely catching!
I haven't told you all about Beatriceās studio yet! Itās so lovely! She's been working on some truly enchanting artwork for a new ballet production in Vienna. Beatrice even let me peek into her little world of creativity! Oh, and imagine this: there was a whole room just for storing and creating ballet costumes! Now, who wouldnāt want a pink tutu sanctuary, right? Sheās making some beautiful costumes ā so exciting!
The thing about this beautiful city, my lovely readers, is it's an absolute fairytale come to life. Just walking through the ancient streets, taking in the breathtaking views, I can almost hear the violins playing a lovely waltz in the background. It's so charming and romantic!
Speaking of romancesā¦ the eveningās Giselle performance is, in my opinion, the best opportunity to see Prague truly come alive with beauty and drama.
