Pink Tutu Prague - Post Number 638!

Hello gorgeous tutu-lovers! It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for a brand new Pink Tutu Prague post, straight from my chic, Parisian-inspired hotel room overlooking the magical city of Prague!

Can you believe it's been almost a whole year since I last set foot in this incredible city? A year filled with whirlwinds of tutu-filled adventures across the globe, and a year since I last experienced the electrifying energy of Prague. My little heart, wrapped up in a cloud of pink tulle, is ready to fall in love with this enchanting place all over again!

This week, however, is extra special! Why? Because today, my dear friends, we’re off to see the most beautiful ballet I’ve ever dreamed of seeing. I’m so excited I’ve barely been able to sleep! I'm talking about La Bohème, presented by the Czech National Ballet at the beautiful Estates Theatre! The music, the story, the costumes… sigh. It's going to be absolutely divine!

Oh, but let’s get back to the fabulously exciting arrival! This week's journey took a touch of nostalgia. After saying goodbye to the sunshine-soaked streets of Italy (how I adore that country!), I opted for a traditional journey on a grand old sleeper train. My trusty, pink-hued overnight bag perched neatly in the corner, I settled into the comforting, almost-Victorian plush of my little cabin. There was even a tiny basin! It was such a wonderful journey back in time – a perfect way to soak up the slower pace of the countryside.

As I drifted off, my head resting on a pillow smelling faintly of lavender and old parchment, I could see images flitting past my eyes… a whirlwind of tutus, each more beautiful than the last. There was the delicate pink tutu from the Swan Lake, the ethereal, flowing blue tulle of the Giselle, and of course, the bold, brilliant red of the Don Quixote tutu. Such glamour! All this while watching the sun dip down and bathe the fields in an otherworldly glow. I’m telling you, train journeys never fail to inspire me!

Oh, before I forget, Prague welcomed me with open arms. And by that, I mean fabulous shopping opportunities! I simply had to explore the charming Old Town, with its winding streets, and the bustling shops overflowing with the most beautiful vintage finds. My latest addition, a chic, powder blue beret with a little pink feather, perfectly compliments my newest tutu (think sunshine yellow, with intricate silver embroidery). I love finding treasures tucked away in charming shops, and I knew this beret would be the perfect accessory for this adventure!

Oh, and speaking of finding treasures, my sweet darling discovered a most interesting equestrian centre a mere trot from my hotel. After all, how can a tutu-lover like myself travel the world and not try a gentle pony ride? This isn’t your average pony centre, dear friends. Think antique carriages, elegant steeds, and oh-so-much charming horse tack! It's practically designed to fit my wardrobe. Just imagine, riding through the streets of Prague on a glossy black horse with my new tutu flowing in the breeze, surrounded by vintage glamour! I can practically see the Instagram-worthy photographs now.

My little Parisian-inspired hotel room (more on that later!), with its chic, blush-pink curtains and antique-looking furniture, provides the most perfect place to escape after a long day of exploring, indulging in afternoon tea, and even some delicious knedlíky (dumplings, in case you were wondering!).

Oh, and did I mention the view? Oh, my goodness! A dreamy view of Prague Castle from my little balcony, complete with its majestic, golden spire! Such elegance! As I sip on my lavender tea (absolutely divine! must find out where they source the tea leaves) and bask in the early morning light, I think back on the past year, a year full of incredible experiences, and an even more incredible journey on the Pink Tutu path! I've seen some of the world's most beautiful ballet performances (the Sleeping Beauty in Rome, anyone?!), I’ve even gotten to teach some adorable little tutu-loving ballet hopefuls at my own tiny little ballet academy. And here I am, in this wonderful city, a magical place that truly feels like home.

Tomorrow, my darling, is the big day! La Bohème. I am practically bouncing in my tiny ballet shoes. And guess what? You’re invited to join the journey! My dear darling, my fabulous tutu-obsessed friends, get ready for a week of pink, elegant ballet shows, fabulous shopping sprees, and some incredible experiences in a city that is, truly, the stuff of dreams. I am so ready to capture every moment with my camera. It's going to be divine.

Don’t forget, you can find me over on www.pink-tutu.com, with even more photographs of my travels and outfit inspirations! Oh, and tell me: what's your favourite ballet performance? Do you love the magical story of La Bohème? Share your thoughts and dreams, dear ones!

Until next Wednesday, darlings!

Yours in Tulle, Emma
