Pink Tutu Prague: A Ballerina's Whirl Through the City of a Thousand Spires (Post 678)

Hello my darlings!

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new post on www.pink-tutu.com! This week, I'm whisking you away to Prague, the magical city of a thousand spires! Now, you may be wondering, how does a girl in a pink tutu make it all the way to Prague? Well, I’m certainly not flying. Who needs those cramped aeroplane seats anyway? Nope, my travel style involves choo-chooing across Europe in luxurious railway carriages. After all, what's better than staring out at rolling landscapes while sipping a steaming cuppa, clad in a fabulous pink tutu?

Prague was a dream! As soon as I arrived, I felt like I'd stepped right into a storybook. Those gothic towers, cobbled streets, and bridges…pure magic! Oh, and the people! So charming, with a touch of Bohemian flair! But enough about the fairytale setting, let's get to the juicy details of my trip…because as you know, fashion and ballet are always top of my agenda!

Pink Tutu Adventures: Ballet and Shopping in Prague

Now, a trip to Prague wouldn't be complete without a little bit of ballet! This city is renowned for its beautiful theatres, stunning costumes, and some of the best dancers in Europe. You can just imagine, it was almost as good as going to the Royal Opera House back in good ol' Derbyshire!

I popped into the National Theatre on the 23rd of April. It was absolutely exquisite. My darling friend Anya joined me for the evening (donning a chic, cerulean tutu of course!). We saw a production of "The Nutcracker," a timeless ballet with such vibrant storytelling and beautifully crafted sets. There were so many colourful tutus flitting around, it made me practically faint from sheer joy.

But let's be honest, any ballet trip is a whirlwind of emotion - excitement, awe, even a bit of tears - but it's not complete without some serious shopping! Prague is a paradise for fashionistas.

Parada's Pink Paradise

One shop that truly caught my eye was the amazing Parada - an independent fashion boutique right in the heart of Old Town Square. From my pink-hued vision, it felt as if the store itself was bursting with ballet-inspired fashion! Gorgeous silk dresses in vibrant hues, sparkly little tops perfect for a night out on the town, and - of course - a smattering of tutues (in every colour under the sun, though I snagged a dreamy peach number)! I ended up spending far too long trying everything on, and Anya practically had to drag me out to catch a glimpse of the magical Prague at sunset.

Prague’s Nightlights: A Ballerina’s Perspective

Once the city was illuminated with golden light, we decided to stroll over the Charles Bridge. As you can imagine, my tutu swirled perfectly with the flow of the bridge, catching the moonlight! There's just something magical about the way that Prague shimmers at night - the twinkling lights reflecting off the river Vltava, creating a stunning illusion. I felt like I was dancing in my very own fairytale, twirling through a romantic scene!

And then came the food... I'm sure I don't need to say, Prague is a foodie’s paradise. All those little cafes and restaurants! From fluffy Czech dumplings to delicious gingerbread cookies, Prague knows how to feed a girl on the go! My absolute favourite? The delicious "Trdlo" pastries - crispy and sugary treats perfect for a late-night snack.

A Farewell to Prague, With a Twirl!

It was hard to say goodbye to Prague, but after an exciting and colourful few days, it was time to hop on another train and set my sights on new horizons! Oh, I'm going to share the next stop in my pink tutu journey next week…stay tuned for more adventures!

Until next Wednesday!

Love, Emma
