Pink Tutu Prague - Post #689 - 9th July 2008

Dearest readers,

It's Wednesday again, which means a fresh dose of Pink Tutu Prague is landing right in your inbox! This week has been a whirlwind of pink tulle and historic architecture, so buckle up for a trip that's more fabulous than a swan lake finale!

Now, let's rewind to last week's grand finale, shall we? The Edinburgh Fringe Festival - what a spectacle! My latest tutu creation, a glorious fusion of coral and fuchsia with shimmering pink sequins, had the audience roaring! Honestly, it felt like a kaleidoscope explosion of pure joy, and seeing their faces light up just confirms what I already know - pink tutus are the universal language of happiness!

Speaking of happy places, this week finds me nestled in the enchanting city of Prague. The journey here was a delight – nothing beats travelling by train! I slipped into a vintage cream linen dress, a perfect balance of chic and breezy, and topped it off with my signature, sparkling pink hat. I know some people may find my passion for pink tutus... quirky, but let me tell you, it truly brightens even the dullest of journeys!

Prague itself is like stepping straight into a fairy tale! Every corner is bursting with history, cobbled streets wind their way through captivating architecture, and there's a constant hum of energy. Even the swans on the Vltava river seem to waltz to an invisible melody. Oh, and the food! I'm a huge fan of the traditional Czech cuisine. And how can one resist those delicate poppy seed rolls, and the creamy, indulgent cakes? Pure decadence, but so worth it!

Now, the main attraction for this week is the National Theatre, Prague's cultural gem. A stunning example of 19th century architecture, the National Theatre is home to some of the finest ballet performances in the world. It's quite incredible to be here on the same stage where Tchaikovsky himself might have walked!

Today is the 9th July 2008, and my evening is dedicated to Giselle, a ballet that needs no introduction. The story is full of passionate heartbreak, romantic longing, and yes, even the drama of a vengeful spirit - which sounds like a perfectly fun, romantic, and tragic story for an evening spent in a magnificent theatre like this!

The rest of the week is jam-packed! Shopping, exploring more of Prague's wonders, and, of course, a ballet class or two. One simply cannot live without a daily dose of pliés and arabesques, you know?

I'm so thrilled to be here! And, of course, I can't leave Prague without indulging in some serious shopping! Prague has some exquisite shops selling handcrafted treasures, local art, and…you guessed it, Tutus! I’m particularly eyeing a gorgeous vintage pink tulle creation from a boutique hidden down a cobbled lane. And trust me, you’ll be seeing pictures of my new find soon.

Keep an eye on the blog next Wednesday for more adventures! Until then, dance, sparkle, and remember – even on the dullest of days, a dash of pink makes everything just a little more fabulous!

With a twirl,
