Pink Tutu Prague: Ballet Dreams and Bohemian Charm (Post #758)
Hello, darling dears!
It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina, back with another instalment from the magical city of Prague. It’s Wednesday, which means a new blog post is up on www.pink-tutu.com! Today's tale is a whirl of ballet, cobbled streets, and Czech delights - oh, and of course, some seriously chic shopping!
Remember my last post about planning a totally pink tour of Prague? Well, my darlings, I'm happy to report the dream is officially in full bloom! The city's gothic spires, the sound of a tinkling tram bell, the warmth of the locals – it's all so incredibly charming, you could bottle it and sell it as a mood enhancer.
Now, before I launch into the fabulous fashion and delectable details, I just have to share the incredible news: I snagged tickets to a performance at the National Theatre tonight! And let me tell you, my sweet loves, this was a triumph of planning and persistence.
I always recommend booking in advance for any major theatre productions, especially in popular tourist destinations. So, to those of you who haven't booked their tickets yet, I urge you, do it! (And maybe nab one of those gorgeous souvenir programmes too – I’m particularly fond of their illustrated cover with a twirling ballerina!).
But hold onto your tutus, darlings, the journey is more than just about ballet! The experience of Prague itself is just so utterly delightful, it makes my heart skip a beat every time I turn a corner and stumble upon a new wonder. Today's adventure began with a wander through the historic Old Town Square – a beautiful open space brimming with architecture, history and, of course, adorable shops! I couldn’t resist a stop at the "The Pink Tutu" store (it's not actually called that, but the sign was SO pink and tutu-inspired – a must-visit for any ballerina who appreciates colour).
Lunch was an absolute dream – think creamy potato dumplings and crispy roasted duck, a perfect symphony of savoury delights. And yes, darlings, I even spotted a café with a delectable-looking pink latte (just a little something to match my tutu, naturally!)
Later, I went on an enchanting pony ride through the city – an absolutely whimsical way to experience Prague's beauty. Just picture a pastel pink tutu amidst the old city streets, riding alongside a sleek, dark horse. Absolutely unforgettable!
But back to the highlight of my Prague trip so far – the National Theatre! The building itself is breathtaking, with an exquisite Neo-Renaissance façade that truly sparkles. And the theatre interior? My darlings, it's gilded heaven. You haven't experienced luxury until you've witnessed the intricate details, the plush velvet seats, and the elegant chandeliers. It truly felt like stepping into a timeless fairy tale!
Tonight, I’ll be reviewing Swan Lake! I’ve got my pink tulle skirt carefully chosen and a new pair of sparkly pink heels for the occasion. Oh, and my little pocket mirror – no ballerina worth her salt would be caught without one!
But here's the real highlight: the audience was positively ecstatic. The whole theatre felt alive with energy – every twirl, every jump, every note had them entranced. It's a beautiful thing to witness how dance unites people, bringing joy and appreciation. I think we all went home a little more magical than when we arrived.
I know, I know – you’re all dying for a peek at my outfit tonight. Well, don’t worry, I have a whole blog post dedicated to my perfect ballet ensemble coming soon! But let's just say, my little black ballet shoes will be happily mingling with a soft pink tulle skirt – with a touch of sparkle, of course!
What to look out for on www.pink-tutu.com
- This coming Saturday, I’ll be sharing a full post dedicated to my "perfect ballet ensemble"! Think vintage tulle, soft hues and maybe a sprinkle of sparkle (pink glitter, naturally!).
A full review of Swan Lake is coming up soon, so stay tuned!
Until next time, darlings, keep your dreams pink and your tutus twirling!
Love, Emma
