Pink Tutu Prague - Blog Post #764

Wednesday 16th December, 2009

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad traveller, Emma, reporting live from the utterly enchanting city of Prague!

I must confess, my darling readers, that Prague has exceeded all my wildest expectations. This city is like a fairytale come to life – cobbled streets lined with enchanting architecture, bridges adorned with stories and secrets, and a palpable sense of history in every nook and cranny. Oh, and did I mention the food? The dumplings! The schnitzels! The goulash! My taste buds have been experiencing a veritable fiesta of delights.

From Derbyshire to Prague: A Tutu-tastic Journey

Getting here was half the fun, as always. A comfy train ride from Derbyshire, my home sweet home, to Prague was just what I needed to get into the holiday spirit. Of course, no trip would be complete without a pink tutu – a delightful cherry red one, in fact, to complement the festive atmosphere. As I gazed out of the window at the countryside rushing past, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement, and maybe a tiny pang of sadness for leaving my precious ponies behind. I miss them dearly! But fear not, my little equestrian darlings, for Emma's travels always include pony cuddles upon her return!

Prague's Dance Scene: Ballet at its Most Beautiful

One of the main reasons I ventured to this charming city was to experience the world-renowned ballet scene. The Prague National Theatre has a stellar reputation for its balletic brilliance, and I was beyond eager to see it for myself. As soon as I stepped into the theatre, I felt a wave of enchantment wash over me. The intricate detail, the opulence, and the air of anticipation… it was utterly magical.

And the ballet performance? Oh, it was sublime! The dancers, oh my word! So incredibly talented, they moved with such grace, passion, and precision. Their costumes, absolutely stunning, shimmered with a thousand twinkling lights – a kaleidoscope of colour and beauty. The stories they told through dance were so powerful, pulling me into the narrative like a moth to a flame. I felt every heartbreak, every victory, every moment of wonder. The ballet was simply breathtaking, and I must admit, there might have been a few happy tears shed.

The City of a Thousand Tutues? A Blogger's Wishful Thinking

Naturally, a ballet enthusiast like myself simply had to visit the famous Old Town Square. It's like something straight out of a Christmas card, with its historic astronomical clock, gingerbread houses, and, of course, a glorious Christmas market bustling with festivity. As I twirled through the market, surrounded by twinkling lights, handcrafted souvenirs, and the sweet smell of cinnamon and roasted nuts, I dreamt of a world where everyone embraced their inner ballerina – a world where every woman wore a pink tutu, or perhaps a bold red one, just like me! Maybe someday…

Tutu Travels: Finding the Perfect Prague Souvenir

No trip to a new city would be complete without some souvenir shopping. Now, darling readers, you know I'm a big believer in expressing yourself through your wardrobe. So, I was on the lookout for something special to adorn my very own pink tutu collection – a true treasure to reflect the magical city of Prague. And let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed! I discovered a boutique nestled in the charming Old Town, crammed with vintage treasures. The woman running the shop was a delight, sharing tales of past fashion trends and secrets of the city’s underground vintage scene. And guess what? I found it! The perfect souvenir to remember Prague, and it would look stunning with a vibrant pink tutu: A beautifully embroidered shawl with the most intricate Prague cityscape pattern imaginable. I can just picture myself twirling on stage, wrapped in its elegance.

The Prague Diaries: My Tutu Tales Continue…

But enough about the shopping. Prague is a city bursting with sights, smells, and sounds that beg to be experienced. I've spent the past few days getting lost in the winding cobbled streets, discovering hidden gems and sampling local delicacies. I've fallen in love with the quirky shops and art galleries, each showcasing Prague’s artistic soul. I’ve been enjoying steaming cups of hot chocolate (the Czech chocolate is heavenly!), watching the world go by, and taking in all the sights and sounds.

Stay tuned, my lovelies! I'll be back next week with more stories and snapshots of this magnificent city. Until then, be sure to check out the latest fashion finds and tutu trends on our website, www.pink-tutu.com, and keep on twirling, my dears. Remember, you are your own kind of beautiful, and that, my loves, is something to celebrate!

Yours in Pink and Tutu, Emma
